The location
The centre heating and hot water could be on longer than 2 hours as it was from 27th Nov to the 3rd December and it was cold weather?

Location – quiet yet close to town – although a little far to walk. Good size rooms. Kitchen appliances excellent. Shower water pressure is great. Shelves in bathroom very handy. Excellent parking directly out front. Allowed us to check in early.
Overall this property was such a disappointment. We expected more based on previous reviews. Firstly there is a surveillance camera mounted in the window of their house next door directed over the front of the property and into the living area. On questioning the owner he tried to say it was for security of cars entering and the security fence protected the property yet the camera is higher and looks over the top of the security fence. So intrusive. There were many other small things that were not good enough. No soap or shampoo for shower. They have a coffee plunger yet no coffee for it and no sugar supplied. There are a few other grocery items such as a ¼ full jar of instant coffee and other things that look as though they were left by previous guests– most should be discarded. No sponge/dishmop/scourer in the kitchen – not helpful when trying to wash pans etc. Shelf where cups/glasses are kept is quite high. If I didn’t have a taller partner I wouldn’t be able to reach them. Outlook onto the entry/garden with dead/tatty plants and table and chairs was not good. TV – couldn’t work out how to watch live tv – info in folder not at all helpful. Yes we could have asked but shouldn’t need to. First time we’ve seen a ‘junk’ drawer in the kitchen. Bags of laundry were left in the bedroom wardrobe. Shower needs bath mat – so slippery we used a small towel to stand on. It wouldn’t take much to bring the property up to standard but we were happy to leave after two nights. Note – we are retired and travel extensively and have never found so many negatives in our accommodation. No idea why their score has been so high previously.
