The location was amazing. Most major sightseeing or tourist areas were a short walk or subway ride from the hotel, and there was a ferry station to cross the river about a minute's walk from the hotel. The atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and luxurious, with good incorporation of nature elements into the space. The rooms were bright and comfortable, with a great view of the river. The large soaker bathtub is bigger than the pictures suggest and comfortably holds two people, and the bathroom space is large and convenient. The service was incredible and the staff were accommodating, and I was very happy with my time there.
There was a slight soft spot in the floor near the bathroom in the hotel room. It wasn't a big deal, but it was a small distraction

Gorgeous luxury and space on the North Bund. Loved the room, the rooftop bar and spa.
No ironing board in the room.
Instructions to get back into the Banyan from the walking track need to be put in place. I would personally change the mens uniforms - they are slightly disturbing. AC could be more responsive.

The view of the river from the room is wonderful, as promised. The room is very comfortable and facilities are well maintained. The bathroom and spa bath is extremely nice.
Tried to communicate with the hotel staff to help with restaurant booking but was unable to get helpful tips and ended up going to the nearby mall without any reservations, after a long day of flying into shanghai.
