Lovely chalet stay

Lovely chalet. Very nicely decorated with a great view out (although it was extremely cloudy all evening so we didnt see much!). Had everything we needed for the evening.

Main bedroom was a little small (only 1 side can be accessed) and the water smelled like sulphur - however we note this is the same all through the Myvatn area, so not a criticism!

Very good

Like the environment which fully covered with snow. Facilities are sufficient; enabling us to cook a decent meal. Nice platform for us to watch the northern lights

A bit scary as we were unable to find our accommodation. Path leading to our cottage was covered with snow and our vehicle almost stuck in the snow

The cottage was HYGGE! completely cosy and perfectly decorated, with a beautiful view out the front windows. The kitchen was fully equipped. We loved it here!

The bed was a bit uncomfortable and very narrow, in the bedrooms was very little space so we stored our suitcases in the living room.

Outstanding views from within the appartment,clean,warm,,friendly staff.

When in Iceland we stayed in 10 different hotels.I think this one was overpriced. One of the two bedrooms was small enough,suited just for the bed.

Expensive for a very basic accommodation

The size of the cottage is spacious 2 persons

-Both rooms are very small, no luggage space nor luggage rack -kitchen has no paper towels, and they expect you to wash all the dishes and put them back like you found it - the walls are thin, you can hear the next room clearly - hot tub is very dirty, dirt, sand and hair floating in it

Very good size cottage and it was clean. WiFi was great!

Cottage was warm and controlling the heat was not straightforward.

Exceptional service

Stayed at the end of February. Check in was easy, the host was easily contacted and met us within 5 minutes. The cabin was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Our stay was enjoyable with a fantastic view. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of options delivered to our cottage by the host who went out of her way to make our stay memorable. I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks for a great experience.

Excellent location in Myvatn, spacious and clean.

Clean, and extremely well located in Myvatn. Friendly reception, lovely views and a great space to relax in after long days of adventure. We were only two people in a two bedroom place, but I think the space could easily work for more. Living area is very large.

The cottage was beyond our expectations! We had all that we needed including a hot tub, BBQ, full kitchen, wifi, dishes and the rest. And the hot tub was fresh geothermal water! Wow! And a great location close to so many things...

Nice large cabin. Host wasn't very responsive to our messages, but overall not a bad stay.

The cabin was large and fully equipped to cook meals. The view was nice over lava fields. It was a nice place to hang out after a day of exploring. You can't really walk to anything from the cabin except the check in area.

The wifi didn't work when we arrived. The host didn't respond to 2 messages sent, which was frustrating. I understand that things don't always go as planned, but a little communication goes a long way. We didn't end up getting Wifi until the 2nd night of our stay. So I was not happy with the communication. With that said, the person working at check-in was very nice and was trying to help us get the wifi fixed, but we could only contact her during the few hours when the check-in was open. Also, there were hundreds of midges (tiny bugs) that got into the cabin if you opened the windows, which we had to to because the cabin was hot. This wasn't really a big deal because they didn't bother you, just stayed by the windows. But I don't understand why there aren't screens in the windows if they have this issue all summer.

Location is perfect, the views are amazing and very close to some interesting places. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very cozy.
