Fabulous location, overlooking a lake and the Fjord/ ocean... very picturesque!!... stayed 2-nites and never left the property.
The cabins, the very engaging staff and the resort itself are 'quirky'...giving-off a kind of 60's hippy-vibe. Is a typical 'Rick Steeves' travel stopover offering.
Loved the 3-hottubs, which were all very clean and a constant 40°C
Kitchenette could use an oven.
Few places to sit throughout the property to enjoy the area/ facilities ~ eg. needs some chairs + benches around the Hottubs + trails

Lovely spot in amongst the bushes. Effort made by owners was obvious as we were given reading material all about our particular cottage, how it was made and how it got its name. Their love and care for the place was obvious. Kitc.hen was well stocked with everything we needed
Mattress not so great - we tended to roll into the middle.

Peaceful, tucked away cottage. Loved the hot tubs. The bedding was super comfortable.

Cute, private, quiet, peaceful, it felt remote even though we had neighbors— they were quiet. Convenient to town (Húsavik). The kitchen was well stocked for a cabin kitchen. Nice and dark for sleeping.
The bed. It was the most uncomfortable bed we’d ever slept in. It rolled to the middle badly!
The front porch light — couldn’t find the switch— we looked extensively for it.
The toilet didn’t work properly. It was slow to flush, sometimes it would fill, and sometime it wouldn’t. We would always have to hold the button down a long time while it would slowly trickle water in, then maybe fill, then finally it would flush—sort of.
