A charming old building in the new town, very stylish and elegant. A big room with high ceilings and a piano, traditionally furnished. A big bathroom. Balconies overlooking the square which came to life every evening with restaurants, a carousel, families and playing children. Right by the town's small railway station where we parked our motorbikes. Good aircon and soundproofing. An extensive breakfast with lots and lots of local fruits, served on a lovely big terrace at the back of the building. A very warm welcome from the Vallebona family who appear to have lived there for many generations. About 15 mins walk from the island/old town. You can swim/snorkel off the rocks on the opposite side of the new town peninsula, but it's quite rough and a bit grubby.
I would have appreciated a table/chair in the room where I could have sat to do some sketching.

Lot of character, great location in proximity to the Main Street and Old-Town, beautiful customer service.
We loved the character and the knowledge that this was (according to Giuseppe) a multi-generational home.

The location of the property was great as it was a 10 -15 minute walk to the historic centre and public beach. It was also next to the train station which is convenient if arriving by train.
Since the property is an old palazzo style house, expect large rooms with antique furniture which was very comfortable.
Breakfasts were great as there was lots of choices and the pasticiotto exceptional!
The owners are also able to provide parasols if going to nearby public beaches.
If arriving by car, be aware that free parking on nearby streets can be difficult as Gallipoli is very busy in August.
Also, it would be great if the cleaning staff replenished shower gel daily. Be aware too that the hotel lift is for luggage only. Not sure if it would suit a wheelchair user.

Beautiful old palazzo that had been converted to apartments. Well furnished and comfortable.
Quite an easy walk to the old town but very hot in the middle of the day.
