After my original hotel booking unexpectedly fell through, I had to book a new one on the fly, and Casa de Principe had availability for my dates. It turned out to be a blessing because this was in a much better location than my original. Friendly attentive staff, a nice sized room, clean and comfortable beds, and despite what other reviewers say, a decent breakfast (they have american coffee!) if you need a quick snack before starting the day. It's close to bus and tram stops and there's lots of wonderful shops and restaurants all within walking distance.
Downsides were that the hotel is in a building with a large entryway and staircase, and for my entire trip I could not find or figure out how to turn the lights on when walking back, they are not motion-sensored. It can be dangerous because you can't really see the stairs and are walking in the dark. Also every evening the wifi would significantly decrease in speed - as a foreigner I was relying on wifi to get around, and was unable to load google maps or access apps to plan the following days. One last thing of note, the hotel staff is only at the front desk until about 9pm/21:00, so if you arrive late, you cannot check in until the following day at 8am.
