The location is amazing. The house was brilliant with anything we would need for our stay. The facilities for kids were great. The swimming pool, play ground, the trail around the lake and the ducks were amazing, keeping our child busy and excited during our holidays.
The only downfall is the lack of a cafe or restaurant, but closest town is only 2 minutes drive

Beautiful location in nice peaceful surroundings. The property was clean and warm. The pool was ok
Everything on the park was a bit run down and dated
8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
Our lodge was comfortable, clean and warm. We visited last around 35 years ago and little had changed. The pool was good and we also enjoyed visiting the pool at Spey Valley. The friendly and helpful staff made our visit enjoyable and easy. Saving 10% on food at Spey Valley. Bed in bedroom was comfy...sofa bed not so much
Lack of ibformation regarding appliances and TV. Little info on attractions in the area. We arrived believing there too be arestaurant/cafe/bar on site as it is still advertised on the website. Slippy wooden flooring outside

The site itself is nice in the greenery and with the loch. Swimming pool was nice and changing facilities clean. The location is good but slightly out of the way, you'll need a car to access all that Aviemore and its surroundings has to offer and be ready to drive a little bit.
To start with, we got stuck in traffic on our way, on arrival we discovered that reception was closed, our keys had been placed in an envelope with the cabin number on it and taped to the main building. We had to navigate the site in the dark to try to find our way as no directions were provided. There was no communication from the hotel prior to inquire about our arrival time, to let us know we'll have to self check-in or to agree how to proceed. As per the title, the chalet we stayed in was very very tired ... Exception made of the bathroom which seem to have benefited from an upgrade fairly recently (can't imagine what it was before), the carpets were old and worn and the furniture had seen better days. Our kitchen worktop was missing chunks in several places (photo attached). Not wear and tear but the glass top on the coffee table was not secured in any way, moving freely and really presenting a hazard, we moved it out of the way during our stay. You get wifi but only an old analog TV, yes you might not head in this part of Scotland to watch Netflix but after a long day wandering about, you might want to have a quiet hot drink while the kids watch some cartoons, unfortunately they seem to enjoy the antiques roadshow way less.. The place is .. ok for a short weekend but it is definitely overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately if you want a family room and not a rental there isn't much choice in that area and they probably know it.
