The location of the site was close to the Carve Carrbridge event we were attending, only 15 minutes from Aviemore too.
We had a one bedroom lodge and the plan was 2 sleep in the room and another 2 sleep on the sofa bed. The sofa bed was not suitable for sleeping on without requiring a chiropractor afterwards. Luckily we all fit in the bed. Two adults and two kids.

There's so much more than we expected. First, the lodge was nice. Dated on the outside, but modernised and well equipped inside. The grounds are superb, with a large lake, quite tame ducks, and adventure activities hidden in the woods for the kids. The neighbouring woods are huge and well worth exploring. The pool was warm and the sauna very hot. Wifi was also very decent.
Having an open bar would have been nice, but I understand there might not be enough custom to justify it. Perhaps the reception staff could serve drinks? The bar space is now underutilised. The games room could also be improved. There are DVDs to borrow, but the lodge did not have a DVD player. I am nitpicking. Not much to dislike to be honest.
