The view was exceptional ,breakfast was plentiful ,it was a pity there was no evening meals available but staff were helpful in providing local take aways who would deliver to the hotel and we were able to eat these in the bar.

The breakfast was horrendous….. they were totally wrong when they first arrived from what we ordered, the beans were so concealed together they had become one….and they were cheap as, thick and almost a grey/brown in colour. No taste on the bacon, first bite of the sausage was all fatty, full of gristle and my other halves fried egg looked really good but was somehow fridge cold….don’t even know????? There were 6 of us and the food left on the table was just not good! Very cheap produce but also lack of love and care in the presentation….such a shame because we have stayed at this hotel many times and have always had a lovely breakfast 🍳 not sure what has happened???

It had excellent views out over Exmouth and the sea etc. It was easy to get to and parking was good. The receptionist was very helpful. The cooked breakfast in the morning (incl in the price),was very nice.
Although it was ‘out of season’ on booking in the entrance lobby and downstairs / reception area looked tired and in need of bringing up to date. Our room was on the ground floor, very close to the reception and next to the main entrance. We’d been driving all day and although the beds were fine, we could hear people coming in and out and walking past the door, this went on until well after midnight. The furniture in the room was a bit Spartan looking and the extractor fan in the bathroom was a bit temperamental, I had to stand on the toilet seat to switch it off.

The hotel is an enviable location with amazing sea views, easy parking outside the hotel and along the street, fabulous breakfast and very friendly and welcoming staff. We were arriving late and the communication was perfect to arrange a late check in. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

All staff were polite, efficient and professional as well as being helpful. The location is ideal and if you enjoy a sea view it is spectacular. Good parking and a well stocked and comfortable bar area. Excellent breakfast.

Wifi didn't work in my room despite being next to reception. TV didn't work in my room. Despite telling reception I got no assistance.

I stayed for one night and it was a nice welcoming stay. The view from our room was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and flexible and the breakfast was nice.
Unfortunately the bed was very squeaky/creeky, as was the floor in the room which was a shame. Also, the corridor was very loud at night time, which I understand can't be helped due to it being an old building and other guests staying, but it kept me awake. Sadly I was awake every hour due to these 2 things. Also, the corridor on our floor was being decorated I think, so there were paintbrushes and tools all out on the floor in the hallway, as well as hanging leads and even an alcoholic drink!
There was also mould in our room and the decor left much to be desired but, again, I know it's an older property.

Very comfortable. The breakfast was really good. Great location for walking to the town and to the Exmouth Pavilion which was the reason for our stay.
No on site parking. It was advertised but parking was on the road. We were lucky that there was a space nearby when we arrived. A leak from the ceiling in the room meant we were then rushed to leave on the Sunday morning.

We had a sea view room which was wonderful, room was warm and comfortable and breakfast was very good. We parked directly outside the hotel so very convenient and a short walk into town.

Near the beach, outdoor garden, uphill above sea level so view is nice overlooking the seaside, walking distance to restaurants and pubs.
Dining area is on lower ground level so no view whilst having breakfast.

The hotel was in a great location close to the beach. The full English breakfast was very good and lots of it. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful.
The hotel rooms were dated and could do with an update.

Although we knew that the room we had booked was not the best had the hotel had to offer . We still found the room very bad is , no toiletries available , and one small mark on the bedding . I would say that you get what you pay for on this occasion x. Somewhere to sleep , with breakfast included .

The full English breakfast was nice but there wasn't enough other choices, like fresh fruit, parties.
The fact that we kept asking for the heating to be put on and we were told the first time that it comes on at 4pm. This did not happen. We were then told it will come on soon. Then told that the owner had switched it off and that he would be in at5pm the next day and I could speak to him. I asked the member of staff to speak to him on our behalf as we would be out. Nothing was done as no heating working. Our room had a very drafty window and we used towels by the window to help with the draft.

The room was small, very tired with peeling paint and poor bathroom. The bed was small and not up to standard. It was not fully cleaned. The overall 'feel' was of 40 years ago

We had a sea view, that was nice. Breakfast was good, they were able to give me what I wanted. Irene the receptionist was very nice. The decor was very nice, lovely colours.
The three young girls serving breakfast could have been more sociable. They were very capable & we didn’t have to wait long for our food.

I stayed in a lovely room, with a beautiful view of the sea! It’s has a back garden. You can also sit in the private garden at the front on the property across the road. With a stunning view.

Excellent very tasty full English breakfast and good selection of cereal/juices. Only niggle was they brought the toast out too early and it went cold. Lots of wasted bread going back to the kitchen.

The staff were very friendly & couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent, a lovely breakfast & the night we had an evening meal it surpassed our expectations! The pillows were really comfy too!!
We didn't ask for a fresh supply of tea & milk as had brought our own so don't know if more was available as it wasn't mentioned. The coach party who were also there put their coats on the chairs in the lounge (aka towel by pool) even if they weren't there rather putting us off going in there. We also noted hot drinks weren't available at the bar

We had a cooked breakfast on each of the 3 mornings. The breakfast was excellent and the waitresses, especially on Saturday and Sunday morning worked extremely hard when the restaurant was very busy. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The twin room was very small. The single wardrobe door could only be opened about 45 degrees due to hitting the foot of the bed, making it difficult to hang clothes in the wardrobe. The window frames were filthy (and I mean filthy) and obviously hadn't been cleaned for YEARS. The outside of the shower tray, in the corner was filthy and again obviously hadn't been cleaned for years. There were previous damp patches on the ceiling which hadn't been rectified or redecorated.
