The location and the view from our second-floor room were absolutely tremendous. Ash couldn’t have been nicer and the lady who cooked and served our breakfast was lovely too — both were genuinely warm, friendly and welcoming.
We stayed in Room 10, a family room on the second floor, and unfortunately it was extremely dated and very much in need of refurbishment. Having read the reviews before booking, we really weren’t expecting the room to be quite as tired as it was, so I think it’s important to mention this for future guests. Breakfast was also quite basic, with juice, cereals, fruit and yoghurt, and a choice of egg or beans on toast, or toast. It was perfectly adequate, but again useful to know what to expect. Sadly, despite the lovely people and wonderful view, we wouldn’t personally choose to stay again in its current condition.
