About this house rental

Situated in Panguitch, this charming house for $82 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This is a classic Panguitch home with all the charm this amazing town has to offer.  This is a two bedroom / two bath all on the ground level.  If you need need more space you can include the upper level of this home which is an additional two bedroom / one bath home w/kitchen. Portable AC unit (Summer)  Panguitch information: Located in the valley between the Markagunt and Pausaugunt Plateaus, Panguitch Utah is home to some of the most majestic scenery on earth. A Native American Paiute word meaning “Big Fish,” Panquitch is undoubtedly named for the famously plentiful lake in the nearby mountains, hosting some of the largest rainbow trout in the state and ideal for year-round fishing. In springtime, Panquitch hosts an Annual Quilt Walk Festival where local quilters display both hand-crafted and machine embroidered works of art, while local performers re-enact the story of Quilt Walk and food lovers highlight their culinary creativity with quintessential pioneer cuisine. As the gentle warmth of spring fades and the lazy days of summer make their yearly entrance into the town of Panquitch, the city pulses with excitement as pilots launch a sky-full of hot air balloons into the heavens for the annual Panquitch Valley Balloon Rally. As night falls, spectators in the Historic Downtown area encounter the adventurous spirit of the town’s past, mixed in the magic of glowing hot air balloons as they parade up and down Main and Center Streets, like enormous planets waiting to be explored in the starlit sky. Rodeos, concerts, horse racing, sports tournaments, conventions, and equestrian competitions are hosted at the Canyon Country Complex, the city’s new event center.  This state of the art, Triple C Arena is located just off scenic highway 89. July 24th is one of the town’s biggest celebrations. As the rest of the state pays tribute to the settling of the pioneers in Utah with an annual parade and fireworks, Panquitch commemorates this historic “homecoming” with reunions (family and class), a community breakfast, pit barbeque dinner, races, games, rodeo, and a city dance. Summer isn’t the only time to enjoy activities in Panguitch.  A New Year’s Eve party is held every year at the indoor Triple C Arena.  The whole town comes out to celebrate and enjoy food, games and live entertainment.  Ice fishermen can ring in the new year by participating in the Panguitch Lake “Big Fish” Derby.  Beginning the first Saturday in January they vie for cash and other prizes by catching the largest fish. For those desiring a more personal tribute to the early settlers of Panquitch, a historic cemetery awaits visitors just two miles east of the town on Highway 89. This hauntingly beautiful burial ground hosts tombstones dated as early as 1870.

A very nice, affordable, decent-sized, rustic country home to stay in while visiting Bryce Canyon for a few days. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms made it really convenient. The kitchen was very well stocked with essentials and extras needed for cooking meals. The house was clean, beds comfortable, hot showers, with a good heating system for the cold high-altitude nights. Host was very responsive, and no issues checking in or out. The house is one block from the main street of the town, so plenty of restaurants to walk to, and a grocery store practically next door. The drive to Bryce was a scenic 25 minute drive. Overall a really great experience, I would definitely stay there again.

It was OK. A few improvements on the property like queen beds, new kitchen sink, yard enhancements, would make it excellent.

Our visit was excellent. We immediately felt right at home. We loved the big country kitchen and large living room. The space was lovely, clean, and suited our needs with two comfortable bedrooms each with their own bath. It had all the amenities plus 5G wifi and a great washer dryer. We were pleasantly surprised with the large soaking bath tub which helped us unwind. Super helpful to have Joe's Market next door. Bryce and Red Canyon are very close. Would definitely recommend it. Family Time kept in good communication. We are intrigued to learn about the Red Brick Homes built during a certain era.

This was the perfect home away from home for our Southern Utah adventure. Close to the national parks and other beautiful hiking spots. Grocery store was within walking distance and the kitchen had everything needed for quick meal prep.

Booking and checking in was easy, and the location is great, especially for Bryce Canyon. The bedding was clean, the beds were comfy, bathrooms were well stocked and clean, and the house stayed warm. But our experience overall wasn't great. It doesn't look like this place has been maintained outside of the bare minimum. It seems like cleaning is just a quick sweep, soap restock, sheet change, and maybe counter wipe down, because the rest was dirty. Our son’s feet were filthy after just a few minutes of walking barefoot, so it seems like the floors weren’t mopped. There were spider webs all over the place, several with live spiders we ended up having to remove. The window sills were covered in dirt, cobwebs, and dead bugs. There were old combs and flossers in drawers and under furniture. Many of the windows were so filthy we couldn’t see out of them. There was some general disrepair too. The back door is full of these weird cuts that let in cold air at night. Also, there’s just a little pillow pushed up against the base of the door to try and minimize draftiness instead of good weather stripping. Luckily the heater in that room works well! Also, just since it’s an old house, be aware that if you're in the lower part of the house, you’ll hear every movement from upstairs because the floors are so squeaky. I know I could have had property management send out someone to do a deep clean, but I sort of resist that on principle. It’s not my job to make sure the house is clean and ready for guests. My job is to leave the property as good as (if not better than) I found it. I just felt like it’s not up to me to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Still, I was prepared to give a decent review. But after we left, I felt since the house was so dirty that I was justified in at least asking for a refund on the cleaning fee. They offered to send someone to clean, but since we had left I figured that would happen anyway. I suggested a deep clean and then asked for the refund twice. After the second time, they stopped replying altogether, not even saying they couldn’t or wouldn’t. While I understood going in that I likely wouldn’t get the refund, it didn’t feel great to be ignored. (For the record, this review is NOT an attempt to still get the refund. I’m just disclosing how the interaction contributed to my final review.) So all in all, the combination of low cleaning standards and being ignored resulted in a forgettable experience.

This was advertised as accommodating a family. There was one cereal bowl and no full sized dinner plates. The coffee maker didn’t have the correct filters. We purchased the correct ones so not you’re good to go there. The unit is loud with tenants upstairs but we had earplugs for sleeping. I’ve visited many VRBO’s and generally enjoy them very much. This one fell short for sure. I’m still a customer. Not a horrible experience; just not great.
