A cosy, well equipped and clean cottage for two. Everything in Fife is less than an hour’s drive away. Close to the cottage is Falkland and the Lomond hills with wonderful walking. The village Spar is nice, and there are more options in Glenrothes close by.

A great location and a really lovely cottage which was perfect for our stay. Horseshoe Cottage is comfortable, very clean and well presented with a well equipped kitchen. There is a little area at the back of the cottage where we could sit outside and the allocated parking for our car was in a quiet and safe space with easy access. Food shopping was easy in the well stocked Spar shop in Freuchie, which sold everything we needed during our stay in the village. The instructions for our arrival were clear and easy to follow. The welcome pack we found in the kitchen on arrival from our lovely hosts Alan and Jackie was a very thoughtful touch and much appreciated. We liked the area and the cottage very much and enjoyed occasional chats with our friendly neighbours too.

The cottage is clean and cosy and in a good location and well equipped with everything you could need! If it wasn't for the poor mattress and extractor fan not working, I would given
the place a 10!
Mattress was very uncomfortable, I could feel springs and very unsupportive. Also, I stayed at this cottage last September, and the bathroom exttractor fan was not working then and sadly was not working during this visit either, which was disappointing due to the condensation during showering.

Hosts were absolute stars when I struggled to wrap my head around the (very straightforward) key lock box, location is peaceful and the cottage itself is a perfect wee self-contained bolthole. Hosts even provided a carton of milk which was VERY well-received after a long drive gasping for a cup of tea!
