Rose Cottage Hotel Taman Daya

Decent location. Exterior looks kind of pretty. 20 - 30 mins journey to / from JB Central. Resembles a small, quiet town with many car workshops. The street where the hotel is located is fairly well-lit at night. Quite a number of food options nearby. A&W, Chicago City Chicken, Alley bubble tea, Watsons, a supermarket and other restaurants are within walking distance. There are also Mac and KFC in the vicinity. But I prefer the local food so much more. Room is overall neat. Bed and pillows are okay for me. 2 towels provided. Has hair dryer inside a drawer. Aircon works fine. Bathroom is spacious. Generally clean. There was some liquid soap in the dispenser. The water heater has a push button which can be helpful, esp when your hands are soapy and the tap does not have protruding handles. Wi-Fi works well. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. Will be better if they could speak a bit more English though. There is a notice on the reception table that says to pass card key to the counter when the guest goes out but feel free to ignore that clause. I nearly wanted to ask them about it until I saw another guest who returned and, apparently, he has the key card in his possession (not like he really had to pass it to the reception when he went out earlier).

The room is in living conditions but can be cleaner... Insides of the drawers and some spots on the wall are somewhat dirty and has stains. Not that I mind but a reminder for guests who might expect more... There was no kettle, no bottled water (bought mine from nearby shops and the supermarket), no toothbrush kit or slippers etc.

the room and premises were clean. quiet location, aircon and lightings all working well. The lady receptionist was very friendly, smiling most of the time. felt very welcomed. worth the money for a peaceful night of stay. Nearby has nice food outlets and walking distance to a nice and large grocery shop.
