Although only a short distance from the train station the journey was long due to the traffic so it was lovely to be greeted so warmly by the host. I was given refreshment while I checked in and they helped me by giving me a map and showing me where the best places are to eat. The room was small but perfectly adequate for my needs. I like the decor and the building itself was beautiful. The price was competitive given that I was in Rome and was in walking distance of most points of interest or a scooter ride away. Vatican city is only a few streets away and I like the area and its vibe

This was a very charming and unique establishment. The staff was extraordinary helpful. Carlos was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding various locations. Also throughly enjoyed the rooftop patio. Loved it there.
Mattress probably should be changed out.

The location was excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the Vatican. The staff were polite, and I noticed that some of the other rooms looked much nicer than the one I stayed in.
Don't rely only on the glowing reviews when choosing this hotel. I booked it for two nights because of them, but it was a very disappointing experience. My single room was extremely dusty. The fabric-covered walls seemed to have absorbed years of dust, and the large wooden mirror frame looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The only fan in the room, which was necessary because of the heat, simply circulated the dust. Fortunately, I had allergy medication with me.
The mattress was also very uncomfortable. I woke up with severe back pain after just one night.
Breakfast was basic but acceptable, with a reasonable selection. However, the cleanliness of the dishes was not. There were fingerprints on the cutlery, lipstick marks on the glasses, and stains on several plates. I understand that everyone has different standards, but for me this level of cleanliness is unacceptable.
