Exceptional food and kitchen staff, customer facing staff are underwhelming

Food was exceptional. Kudos to the chef & associated kitchen staff. It was the best food and presentation we encountered during our multiple weeks in Ireland on par with any 5-star restaurant … anywhere

The customer facing staff at checkin, pub & dinner service were the most unwelcoming & least engaged of any staff we encountered over our multiple weeks in Ireland. We stayed in (8) different accommodations , ate/drank in numerous pubs/restaurants, and Vaughan Anchors Inn would be in last place on a staff engagement score.

We were surprised by how quaint the hotel was, and the dinner was wonderful!

I liked that it was a wee hotel with only a handful of rooms. Staff was so gracious.

we will definitely be back, we throughly enjoyed every minute of our stay and the food was the best we have had

the room was amazingly decorated, comfortable bed and pillows, exceptional bathroom facilities along with tea and coffee facilities and ironing facilities. spacious but cosy

the property, the staff, the owners and the food were all exceptional

Phenomenal

Our stay in Vaughan’s was exceptional. The food was exquisite, the rooms were lovely and clean and the staff went above and beyond throughout our stay. We loved the added touch of the tea and cookies in the evening.

it was faultless….. attention to detail was exceptional. bed very comfortable, homemade cookies everyday in room as part of tea and coffee facilities. breakfast and dinner made with high quality ingredients and presentation beautiful

The best I have stayed in in ireland .price great then you have a dressing room and amazing new bathroom and the most comfortable bed I could have taken home Their fish and chips and lobster risotto is the best ever Do not give this little town a miss so close to cliffs of moher and st Bridget's well I will always recommend to any traveler to stay here

disappointed especially for our visiting friends from the UK.

bar and restaurant and food was excellent as were the staff.

we stayed in rm 1 and 2 and when we arrived room was freezing . We had to ask for the heating to be put on . our bathroom radiator worked then but we had to turn on bedroom radiator ourselves . Our friend in rm 1 said their bedroom radiator needed bleeding and would not complain as they were our guests. Meal and drinks in bar were enjoyable with open fire. But when we returned to the room for the night the rooms were freezing as heating was off at this point . our friends later told us they slept in the bed with their coats on .

The entire staff were super helpful and friendly. Slept like a baby, bed and pillows exceptional. Very clean. The food was five star quality!

Lovely high quality bed. Superb dining and breakfast room. Great food choice and quality.

Our initial check in was very disappointing due to young man who dealt with us failed to make us feel welcome or assist.in any way in seeing us to our rooms and not even taking the room drinks box up for us. With luggage and disabled party member with us he was unhelpful to say the least.

good location to visit many Clare tourist spots

breakfasts were excellent. Bed very comfortable.

Menu for dinner was very sparse. I would have preferred more choice with cheaper options. Television in our room didnt work. We requested someone to sort it out for us. A guy came to the room but with no success. We requested him to get someone else, this didnt happen.

Wonderful stay in an unforgotable place.

Amazing place , fantastic food and room and overall the nearest hotel to see Moher. Very confortable place has all that you need in the same place, Hotel,restaurant and pub .

The bed and the cushions were so comfy. The food in Vaughan's was exceptional as usual

If I have to be honest it's a little too pricey, for a couple of night get away, a bill for stay, dinner and drinks was almost a thousand euro.

We will definitely be returning to Vaughan's Anchor Inn.

The food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was really good also. The location of the Anchor Inn was ideal for our short break, the staff were friendly and courteous, we would stay there again and would have no hesitation in recommending Vaughan's Anchor Inn to friends.

We would return!

The Hotel was exceptionally clean, welcoming and had some nice touches such as the biscuits and tea/water on arrival, friendly, nice breakfast, good shower facility, everything really.

bit noisy around closing time from other venues on the street, but only for a short period

Superb

Lovely personal touches from the staff and of course, fantastic food. Super comfy bed and lovely fluffy fresh towels.

A minor, minor thing - the TV was tiny and a few more channels would be a good addition but the scenery was so lovely it really didn't matter! Also no wi-fi - if we'd stayed longer this might have been more of an issue.
