Situated in Larkspur, this attractive condo for $128 per night is a great option for your next trip. This cozy studio is surrounded by redwood trees and a paved terraced garden. Very light with a full kitchen including a gas stove, microwave, toaster, blender, electric tea kettle, refrigerator. Very comfortable queen size bed. We just installed a lovely merino wool carpet and the unit is newly painted. The studio is below our kitchen. We have added padded mats to our kitchen floor to dull the sound of footsteps above. We are generally very quiet upstairs and very conscious of our guests below - especially mornings and evenings. It is located within walking distance of a great grocery store, College of Marin and there are many wonderful restaurants close by. The garden is yours to use at your leisure; surrounded by redwood trees and a view of Mount Tam. There are biking and hiking trails nearby, a movie theater and the Marin Art and Garden Center. Only 5 minutes from the freeway and 20 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, and usually 10 to 20 degrees warmer than San Francisco, Sausalito and Mill Valley. If you want a to stay in the Bay Area and avoid the fog, this is the place to be especially if you are interested in exploring Napa, Sonoma and the coastal areas like Stinson Beach and Point Reyes. NOTE to longer term guests of 7 days or more. You may request cleaning service for an additional fee of $75. You may use the washer and dryer free of charge once a week.

The moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The roomy studio was super-clean, well laid-out, and had all the comforts of home. France was very responsive and hospitable. We come to Marin fairly often, and this will be our new home-from-home.

We really enjoyed our extended stay at France’s studio. The garden setting is beautiful, and the studio itself is well appointed- even a little larger than we had anticipated. Everything was very clean and scent free, and the sheets were so soft! The kitchen is small as would be expected in a studio, but we were still able to cook full meals for ourselves. France was very gracious, and a considerate upstairs neighbor. There are many beautiful places to walk within a few minutes drives, too!

I had a great stay here. The location is convenient. The property has everything I needed with convenient parking. Easy to get on the highway and enjoy Marin County or a trip to San Francisco or a visit to wine country. The host, France, is available and pleasant to interact with.

Lovely place in a great location and France was an attentive and gracious host. The studio was clean and the bed comfortable. I stayed here while work was being done at my own house nearby, and with a refrigerator, stove and microwave, I appreciated being able to cook most of my meals at "home". As someone with chemical sensitivities, I especially appreciated that all bedding and towels are washed "fragrance free" and that all guests who do laundry are required to use only non-scented products. (It sure would be nice if ALL vacation rentals could accommodate people who can't tolerate fragrances, have allergies, or simply dislike reeking of perfumes/chemicals.

Very comfortable with a rustic, natural feel. The Bay Area has changed so much, it was nice to stay in a place that reminded me of Marin County as it was when I lived there in the 70's and 80's. -- inhabited by redwood trees and nature-loving people. A great spot for getting anywhere in Marin or San Francisco.

The space was clean and cozy, and had all the necessities for a comfortable stay. France was very responsive and helpful to all my questions. My only issue is that there were a fair amount of bugs that flew in through the window, as there were no screens. Otherwise, highly recommend!!

We stayed in France’s studio for 3 weeks. It was conveniently located for us and also provided us the opportunity to explore Kentfield, Ross, Anselmo, etc. Studio was very comfortable and provided all the essentials we needed. France was responsive to our requests during our stay and provided insights on what to do nearby. This apartment was one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. The massive redwood outside our windows was great to wake up to. We plan to stay here again soon. And she has a fun dog named Boe.

Truly enjoyed my stay! Great location, walkable to restaurants and grocery shopping, public transportation. Comfortable, cozy and very clean. The redwoods are stunning, as is the view of Mt. Tam. The host was wonderful! Will stay here again.

I stayed 16 days in this small and lovely studio visiting friends, enjoying the area, local restaurants and shops and San Francisco easily accessible. France was very welcoming and the studio was very clean and well equiped. I will definately love to go back.

Peaceful off-street garden location nestled amidst the trees. Thoughtfully stocked with everything from device charger to oversized coffee mugs. Spotless kitchen especially the microwave and refrigerator.

The neighborhood is very quiet, and the lot is private with some cute outdoor spaces. The unit is vintage but is in good condition and quite functional.

Cute unit in good location ... easy access to Sausalito and surrounding areas. Was a heat wave when we were there ... high 80s/low 90s ... no a/c in unit. There was a fan, but just not comfortable. Opening windows would have helped, but no screen in windows so if we left any open, lots of bugs would fly in and that was no good. Also ... didn’t appreciate the people moving furniture outside stopping outside our bedroom window for a long chat (got pictures) ... just off putting ... wish they would have either gone back inside or gone further down stairs ... having to watch them chat while I was lying in bed was annoying.
