Picture yourself in downtown Traverse City in our cozy comfortable and clean apartment with views of the bay. You will be steps away from the public beach and vibrant downtown. Our guest suite is on the first floor of our home and has a private entry off the front door. It includes a living room, bedroom (with a Queen size bed) and a full bath with tub. The living area has a sofa bed (with a memory foam mattress), TV with cable, WIFI, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette has a full size refrigerator, microwave, sink and a coffee maker. Beach towels, chairs and a cooler are at your disposal. We are seasoned VRBO travelers and know what's important when it comes to selecting the perfect place to stay. We will be nearby to assist you with anything you need. We offer a comprehensive, online guide to our house and the surrounding areas. ** PLEASE NOTE: Major road construction will be happening throughout Traverse City this summer, including Grandview Parkway, the road that runs along West Bay, so expect delays and detours.** Search Traverse City Ticker (traverseticker.com) articles for full details. You can connect to miles of paved trails just across the street. Mountain bikers will enjoy 3-25k loops at the Vasa trail system or at the newly developed Palmer Woods property in Leelanau County. Hiking and fly fishing are superb on the Boardman Ottaway River, a blue-ribbon trout stream. Just 30 minutes to the north, Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore was recently named the most beautiful place in America. There are museums - the north's only children's museum and Dennos Museum, which holds the largest collection of Inuit art in the US. There are numerous art galleries. Our downtown is one of the most vibrant in the state, with unique shops, restaurants, independent book stores, tasting rooms and Friday Night Live in August, when they close the streets and open to music and family friendly activities. Named a top-five Foodie Town by Bon Appetit, we love our local restaurants and will point you in the right direction. The best bakery in town is a half block away and you can often smell fresh bread and cinnamon rolls baking at night. There are a number of wineries on both our peninsulas, and microbreweries and distilleries abound. Traverse City is home to the State Theatre, just named the top small theater in the country - you can walk to the State and its sister theater, Bijou by the Bay. Art and first-run films are shown at the theater, along with kid's 25-cent matinees. If you enjoy reading, check out the National Writers Series, which hosts best selling authors and rich discussion. Walk, bike or drive to our many restaurants, wineries, breweries, bars and food trucks. Come for all our festivals, for the Great Lakes, for family and new friends. Use our place as a hub for all your explorations to the surrounding counties! Just down the block - Bay Bakery - the best bakery in town. Frenchies (Breakfast and Lunch) Sleders Restaurant - kiss the moose! Dairy Lodge Ice Cream Burritt’s Market – local produce, fresh meat and seafood and great wine selection Mary’s Kitchen Port – best grab and go sandwiches in town. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS OR SMOKING. This little apartment had everything that my husband and I needed for our stay. Perfect for a couples getaway! Close to lots of breweries, distilleries and wineries. We had a great time and we will for sure stay here again!

My wife and I spent a long weekend in this unit celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. The apartment was immaculate, well furnished, and well stocked with pretty much all the essentials, including coffee, snacks, and a few adult beverages. Well-located, the beach is less than a block away, and shops and restaurants along the Front Street corridor just a short drive. Frenchies, a tiny little option for a great breakfast or lunch is just down the street. Owner Bob, even though he was out of town at the time, responded immediately to an issue we experienced upon arrival. This is a very comfortable, cozy place, well-kept, bright, and just a stone’s throw from Grand Traverse Bay, which is visible through the front wall of windows. We will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommended!

Perfection!

Our first real getaway of 2020 and we nailed it when we booked this spot! It is cozy, oh-so-comfy and perfectly located to get to the beach when you have just 4 minutes to catch the sunrise. There's such an attention to detail and an eye for knowing what a visitor may want or need. I was sad to leave but I do look forward to returning! PS: check out the Mission Bay Lighthouse trail system!

This is a great location. We had a wonderful time staying in this very clean condo. We slept great. It is very quiet. We love the Traverse City area and would stay here again. There is not on-site laundry. We were fishing and like to wash our fishing clothes before coming home. Wasn't a big deal....we just double bagged them:)

First stay in a property renovated as a Passive House

This property was formerly Davidson's Rock Shop. The current owners renovated the site according to Passive House criteria - extra insulation, solar panels on the roof, heated floors, etc. The apartment was extremely comfortable and a short walk to everything we wanted to see and do downtown.

My husband and I felt like we hit the jackpot when it came to this rental. It was clean and cozy, equipped with everything we needed. The host was friendly and was quick to respond to text messages. The location is stellar and within eyes view of Grand Traverse Bay, a hop away from the Tart trail, and a 5 minute walk to downtown. We can’t wait to plan our next trip with hopes that this rental will be available!

Great place to stay with all of the essentials. Convenient to town and the TART trail. My only suggestion would be to have an outdoor space for sitting / eating. Overall I enjoyed my stay!

Very comfy and well-appointed 1-br apt a block from the bay and just a few blocks from downtown. Everything you need is supplied, even beach chairs, coffee and a bottle of wine! Good selection of TV including Netflix. Comfy bed. Had a very relaxing stay.
