After getting a little confused with the roads in Greece on our way back from Albania, and after a longer day of driving, we decided to spend one night as close as possible to the motorway towards Sofia, and we ended up at this hotel in Sandanski. The navigation app took us around the back roads to get to the hotel by car, and it looked to me like we were going to the top of a hill, but when we arrived, we had an extraordinarily pleasant surprise.
We asked to see the room first, and it was extremely nice, spacious and very clean. We chose a room with a balcony, which had a very good view over the city. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating, and our two furry ones were welcomed very warmly. We even received a special soft, furry mat for the dogs to sleep comfortably on, as well as two bowls for their food, although we already had our own. It was a very nice and much appreciated gesture.
Just a short distance below the hotel there is a large park that leads to the main pedestrian area, and very close by there are many terraces and shops, all just a few minutes away. In the evening we had another very pleasant surprise, because we realized that we were actually right in the middle of the action, so to speak.
The hotel certainly doesn’t lack guests, especially people who are in transit, as there are many who are coming from or going to Greece, or even further away, just as we were. But I definitely want to warmly recommend it as well, because I liked it very much. The staff was extremely kind, and I would gladly return to this hotel anytime. The breakfast was also very good.
There is even a small little park directly opposite the hotel, where you can get some fresh air among the flowers, or take the dogs out to play for a while.
I honestly have nothing negative to mention about it.

We stopped only for a night sleep on our way to Greece. The accomodation is very basic but super clean. Keep in mind that parking is on a steep street. The receptionist was super kind and friendly.
If you are looking for a stopover on your way to Greece, it’s fine. The batbroom shower does not have any doors and the floor gets and stays wet. Usingva broom, You can sweep the water down the drainage.

Very helpful owner. We offloaded our luggage at the door and he parked our car for us. Nice rooms with comfortable bed. Great location. A short walk across the road to the park for a dog walk, the down the road 500 metres to the town centre where a pedestrian promenade hosts loads of bars and restaurants. Very convenient. Great place to stay.

Clean room with a nice view to the outside.
WiFi was a disaster. It doesn’t really exist. I couldn’t work online, I lost money because of this. I was forced to use my (limited) own internet personal data and pay extra funds to my provider. This accommodation brought me back 25 years ago, what a pity!!!
Luck of elevator and kettle are also important to mention.
Front Desk totally cold & indifferent, never replied to the phone, looking to the other side everytime I passed by. Terrible to see it happen. A change of attitude is wanted .. desperately!
