Our Quinta is nestled in the green mountains of central Portugal amidst centuries-old olive trees that overgrow the region's typical cultural terraces. If you are looking for peace, deceleration, closeness to nature and authentic participation in the original country life of Portugal, you have come to the right place. The house consists of a lovingly renovated natural stone house, which today houses the bedroom on the upper floor and the kitchen and bathroom on the lower floor. This was expanded by a modern, spacious living room with large panoramic windows that can be opened so that the house and garden merge. Both in front of the house and on the huge roof terrace you have a magnificent view of the deep valleys of the Rio Zezere and Rio Pera, which merge below the house.
The area offers great opportunities for leisure activities: hiking directly from the house, wonderful swimming spots (Praia fluvial) on the rivers with clear, cool water, especially in the heat of summer. Swimming by the swimming pool in the lake close to the property, fishing, cycling on quiet country roads, water sports with kayak or canoe, motor sports (squad). Due to the proximity of the Quinta to the historic market town of Pedrogao Grande, which can easily be reached on foot, you can visit local markets and restaurants, there are numerous different shops, there are banks, medical facilities and the traditional cafes and bars that are typical for Portugal. You can also participate in the numerous festas, which are celebrated in summer, and dance and celebrate until well after midnight with local music.
The wider area is tempted by cults in UNESCO cities such as Coimbra, Tomar, Alcobaca, and the endless pristine sandy beaches of the Atlantic can be easily reached within a day trip. Well-known bathing and surfing spots such as Nazare, Peniche and the port city of Figuera da Foz can be reached quickly. Or you are just lazy and enjoy the peace and quiet of the property with the awareness that you can walk into the Portuguese civilization at any time. The Quinta de Convento is ideal for couples, but also very good for families, as the children will also get their money's worth thanks to the numerous bathing opportunities.

Due to the sheltered south orientation of the property and the possibility of heating the house, the property is also particularly suitable for stays outside of summer. The climate is very pleasant, even in summer it cools down again and again to a good sleeping temperature through the mountains and the plenty of fresh water from the rivers, and even in the cooler season, the Mediterranean sun quickly has very pleasant temperatures.

The transport connection is very good, both with your own car and through the very well developed bus network in Portugal.
