About this house rental
Situated in Capitola, this attractive house for $486 per night is a great choice for your next trip. 3 Bedroom Beach house, in the heart of downtown Capitola. Beach, shops, wine bars, and restaurants just steps away. Rent a surf board a few doors down, and walk 2 very short blocks to the beach! House is hip, comfy, and a great layout for families. Private, outdoor patio is perfect for entertaining, with comfortable lounge seating, a succulent garden, grill and dining table. Newly remodeled kitchen is open to dining area and sunroom, creating a comfortable living space. Dining room table expands to seat 6-10. Sunroom has cozy, gas burning fireplace, and lounge seating facing the backyard. A perfect spot for morning coffee. Living room is at the opposite end of the house, with flat, screen TV and BluRay/DVD. Two lovely bedrooms downstairs, charmingly furnished. Newly remodeled downstairs bathroom with full bath and shower. The 3rd bedroom is upstairs, very large-- and, perfect for kids. It includes a 1/2 bath. Bunkbeds sleep 6. Twin mattresses on top, and Full mattresses on the bottom. There is also an additional 'play area' upstairs with a new full size futon. A flat screen TV and BluRay/DVD player are also located in the upstairs bedroom for in-bed movies! Downstairs, beside the bathroom, you'll find a washer and dryer for your sandy clothes. And, our outdoor shower (with hot and cold water) is great for rinsing off, with plenty of room to hang wet suits and sandy towels. This house is perfect for a family vacation, romantic getaway or girlfriends weekend. It has all the amenities you need for a comfortable vacation. House can accommodate 10, however it is more comfortable for 8 people (especially adults!). For that reason, there is an additional $50 charge per person, per night, over 8 people. There were six adults, we parked our cars and never used them for the rest of the stay. You are literally 1 block from downtown for shopping, restaurants and bars, and two blocks to the beach! The property manager was fantastic, we all said that we would stay again!! The backyard was a perfect gathering place for us as the weather was perfect, however the house itself offers good gathering spots too.

If we were coming just to enjoy family time and the beach (which maybe we will do next year) it would be no problem at all as the location is in the hub of town, very walkable. We enjoyed walking the two short blocks down to the beach after Friday night's rehearsal dinner and only wished there had been time for more of that. I look forward to renting this place again!

Capitola is such a cute little beach town and this was the perfect location to explore it from! Just three blocks from the beach made it easy to come home to get clean from the beach before heading to dinner at the many restaurants just a few blocks away. The bunk room had plenty of space for all the kids and the house had all the amenities we needed to have meals at home. It was super clean and very well stocked with towels and beach toys for a superb beach vacay. We hope to be back!

House was exceptionally clean! Beach and shopping are a very short walk! We had a question while we were there and it was promptly answered and resolved! Beds were very comfortable!!! The patio was awesome and inviting. Overall excellent stay! Would highly recommend!

Such a beautiful house right by all the best shops in capitola! I stayed here with my mom, daughter and 3 of her friends for her birthday celebration and we all had such an amazing time. The host was exceptional, thank you so much for an awesome stay!

The property manager was very responsive and prompt to reply and the check-in process was easy.
The location can not be beat for a stay in Capitola. You are far enough away from the village noise but only a few minutes walk to the village.
The layout of the house was good for a larger family. There are two bedrooms downstairs for maybe adults, and a great room upstairs for kids (or more adults).
The downstairs area had a good kitchen/dining area and good but small family area with a nice electric fireplace that warmed the back area nice. In the front of the downstairs is a nice relaxing front room with comfortable couches and a tv that I napped in.
We didn’t use the back patio for our stay but it’s a real nice area for eating and hanging out if weather permits.
We had a few glitches however.
1. All the batteries in all tv remotes had been removed! I called and someone stopped by that night within a few hours and gave me batteries. They should add this to their checklist for readiness.
2. The oven did not work. This was a bummer since we were cooking dinner there our first night. When I called they asked me to check the fuse panel which I did but all looked good there. I was told we would get some kind of a credit for this inconvenience but I haven’t seen anything yet. Again, they should be checking this stuff.
3. The patio furniture was covered but when we uncovered all cushions were wet.
We would stay again and recommend regardless of above.

We had a great time in Capitola. The house is perfect for large groups and is an easy walk to everything. Owner was incredibly responsive, within minutes if we needed anything at all. Highly recommend.

This was a perfect place for our family of 10 (3 generations). Walking was easy for me, the grandmother. The young adults loved the surfing, the sunsets were magnificent, and the space plenty for us to get alone time when needed. It was convenient for those who had to go back to San Jose for work/doctor appointments. We have booked it again already.

Perfect home for families to gather and create lasting memories. Perfect location to beach, restaurants and shops. Home is well cared for and lots of space for 5 kids and 5 adults to have separate spaces. The backyard is large and plenty of room to dance! Which the kids did a lot of. My family loved the home and we plan on making this a yearly event. Thank you Michelle for your quick responses to questions. You are the perfect host!
