It was the only property available in Tulcan on Booking. The staff who received me was kind. however, the hotel seems to have seen better days. Breakfast included was good.

The room was dirty, cold, old, and very expensive for what it was. Wifi didn’t reach my room. There were woman hairs under my pillow, short hairs on the bathroom walls, even a used incense stick by the toilet. The curtains were ripped, the bed covers were stained… Honestly, this might have been the worst stay not only in Ecuador but in my life.

You can easily book it. The other Hotels in Tulcan are not "online".

Only go there for one night. It's more or less ok when you start from there a tour and need to stay for one night or you head up to Columbia the next day. Otherwise avoid it!

All the right facilities were there. Staff was kind, room big enough, hot water, sockets near the bed. Good location in the center.

All very old and rusty. Blankets didnt smell good. Old towels. Basic breakfast.

We had a large room, plenty of blankets on the bed. The hallways are large. Lots of lovely wood and tile. Pleasant seating areas. Many shops and a park near. Older building but maintained well for the most part. Some staff speak English. All are very helpful.

Rooms begin on the 3rd level so lots of stairs. No elevator. Tulcán is very cool/cold due to the high elevation. An electric space heater in the bathroom would have been helpful and pleasant.

Location and staff were excellent.

It was very outdated, it was freezing, my sheets were damp (albeit the staff changed them once I asked) and there were mice in the ceiling above our heads chittering and squeaking all night. The bed had caved in and there were old springs poking us in the back.

The price was good enough, location very centric

The rooms are super cold, the beds are uncomfortable, the staff is not very available, bad communication, parking lot is tight and you have to ring to enter the hotel all the time...

I had no lights that worked in the room
