Located in Breckenridge, this charming condo for $325 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. At the luxurious Mountain Thunder Lodge, our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom end unit welcomes you after a day on the slopes or exploring the rest of what Breck has to offer! Mountain Thunder Lodge offers one of the best locations in Breckenridge and the common areas of the lodge have just been renovated. It’s ski-in and gondola-out and just two blocks from the shopping, dining and fun of Main Street Breckenridge. You’ll feel instantly at home when you enter the lodge through the lobby and into the living room, which features a warm and welcoming gathering space with a huge fireplace and comfortable sofas and chairs. Your private equipment (ski) locker is just around the corner and a hot tub, overlooking the Gondola Ski Back, is just out the back door. The private and quiet hallway leads to our first-floor corner end unit. Like the lodge common areas, our condo features a rustic stone and wood feel throughout. Upon entering our condo, you’ll pass through the open gourmet kitchen and eating area into the living room with sleeper sofa (folds out into a memory foam mattress queen bed) -- new as of April 2019 -- and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. The room opens onto the balcony, offering one of the best views of downtown Breckenridge, the Blue River Valley and the Continental Divide whether you’re inside or outside! The whole unit offers complimentary wi-fi. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and the second bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed (both new as of April 2019). Both bedrooms offer plenty of storage so you can unpack and unwind easily. Each bedroom has a TV plus a desk and chair. The two full bathrooms are large and well-appointed with showers and bathtubs and are conveniently located relative to the bedrooms. If you choose to bring your own vehicle to the lodge, there is free and private underground parking (one spot per unit). A car in Breckenridge isn’t necessary though, since Mountain Thunder Lodge is walking distance from just about everywhere you want to go and offers a free private shuttle for guests to get around town for times you don’t want to walk! We’re also right across the street from a stop for the free Summit Stage, a county-wide bus system you can take to other ski mountains as well. As our guests at Mountain Thunder Lodge, the facilities of One Ski Hill Place (including the indoor pools, theater, and the only bowling alley in Breckenridge!) are all available for your use, free of charge. The Gondola Ski Back trail is just out the back door and the BreckConnect Gondola is only 200 yards away. The gondola provides the fastest access from the condo to the heart of the ski area at the bases of Peak 7 and Peak 8 for on-mountain dining, ski schools, rentals, and several other lifts that will get you on your way to Peaks 6, 9 or 10. This place was perfect for our family of 4 for a ski getaway. The gondola is a short walk away and the ski-in directly to the building was excellent. Loved the ski lockers and convenient parking underneath the building. The condo itself was well-appointed for cooking in, which we did 4/5 nights. It was great to find this place so clean as well. The guys were happy to find all the channels on the t.v. The location of the condo in the building was great, an end unit, so not a lot of noise from other visitors. There was early morning sounds of vehicles backing up, since overall this area is at the heart of things.

Great 1st floor - 2 bdrm with 2 full baths and can ski right back to the lodge. We stayed in a one bdrm unit at the lodge last year, which was closer to the main pool and hot tub but there is a one off hot tub very close to this unit. Kitchen and living area very similar to one bedroom place.

First of all, the condo is more spacious than appears in pictures, which is always a pleasant surprise. It was clean, well appointed, and the beds were comfortable. Although the condo is located on the first floor of the Mountain Thunder complex, the rear of the condo is about 20 feet off the ground due to the downsloping terrain. This gives you some additional privacy. Although most of your view encompasses the Gondola parking lot and downtown Breckenridge, you do have glimpses of the surrounding mountains. The trees surrounding the back of the condo also add to the scenery and makes it feel like you are staying mid-mountain. The walk to the gondola is fairly convenient, but the return from ski slopes is the best part - ultra easy to take your skis off and walk 30 ft to the entrance. The condo has good sound insulation as we didn't hear any noisy neighbors or normal street traffic (aside from the occasional snow plowing equipment after a heavy snow). We would definitely stay here again.

The condo was well stocked everything you should need while staying there. It was well maintained and clean. We really enjoyed our stay at peak 8.
The property management team could improve their direction for the pickup of the keys. We came in during a snow storm and it was difficult to located street addresses on the buildings and their office is not very visible from the road.

This is the fourth time we've stayed at this unit in Mountain Thunder Lodge. We love the location - ski in and walk to town. We also appreciate that we do not have to rent a car because the shuttle is so convenient. The kitchen is well-equipped for meal prep and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We keep coming back . . .
This is our 3rd time to stay at this property and we will keep coming back. The location is perfect (we love the walk-to-town and ski-in); shuttle service was a little spottier this time but not the property owner's fault. We had all the amenities we needed for cooking several meals in-house. The condo was clean and comfortable for 2 couples. Wish we could come back again in 2022 for more spring skiing!

The only time we used our car was to go grocery shopping.

Very comfortable and warm condo. Has fully equipped kitchen, large bathrooms and terrace. Dedicated and secure ski and board storage. Underground parking a bonus. Walk to town and yellow southbound shuttle stops right outside. Would definitely recommend.
