The hotel is nicely designed and pays tribute to the local craftsmanship, which I really liked. The service was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the room well-soundproofed. The washing machine in the room was a great bonus. The breakfast was tasty. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
I didn't like the layout of the breakfast area - it felt very cramped when it got busier. Also, the table with food was quite small and things were in small containers, so things were running out frequently (especially rice!) and the staff had to run back and forth to replenish. Not nice for visitors, not nice for the staff either.
Also, the parking is limited and paid extra (quite pricy). Better to look in the area.

Clean, near to train n bus station. Very convenient.
Foot bath with nice view.
Nothing, but buffet breakfast n dinner is about the same food. But the Hida beef is excellent!

The rooms are clean and the location was fantastic
The beds was really poor. Probably the worst I've had in Japan so far the room was a bit claustrophobic showroom average
