Located in Saint George Island, this attractive house for $456 per night is a great option for your next trip. FREE Beach Gear! Guests of this home will enjoy a complimentary beach gear credit toward items such as bicycles, kayaks, beach umbrellas and more! Calling all Sun worshipers! Welcome to Sun Goddess, a 3BR/3BA beach bungalow located in the heart of St. George Island. Our beachfront beauty can accommodate up to 8 guests, and since our four-legged friends are a part of the family (and because it would be a shame not to bring them to one of the pet-friendliest beaches in the U.S.) we allow up to 2 medium sized dogs with advance approval for a $150 + tax pet fee. SUN GODDESS is only a short stroll to the Cape St. George Light and Museum where you can climb to the top of the historic lighthouse for a bird’s eye view of the Island center. Within easy walking distance of our home are local restaurants and shops or you may prefer to rent a bicycle to explore the Island along 17 miles of paved bike paths. And then, of course, there’s the house! The first level of Sun Goddess has 2 bedrooms, the first of which is a Queen bedroom w/ flat screen TV and private bathroom w/ shower. Down the hall is a laundry closet with stacked washer/dryer and the beachfront Master suite. The spacious Master suite boasts a King size bed with new mattress and bedding, a flat screen TV, deck access and a private bathroom equipped w/ a jetted tub. The best feature of this suite is the beach! A private entrance takes you onto a beachfront covered deck where you can access the top level or travel downstairs to the beach boardwalk. Plenty of extended covered deck space allows you a cool respite from a long beach day and a great place to revel in blue waters and Gulf breezes. Upstairs and on the middle level of the home is the open living space, as well as the best views in the house. A full bathroom w/ shower is located just off of the stairwell and is convenient to the household. The comfortably appointed living space creates the perfect framework for the unparalleled views of sparkling Gulf waters and white sand beaches that are just outside your front door. The comfortably furnished living room offers a brand new sleeper sofa for additional sleeping accommodations and a large, flat screen TV w/ DVD player for movie night with the family. Our favorite spot to relax is the beachfront deck, with both a covered area for relaxing in the shade and an extended deck to enjoy the warmth of the Florida sun… beach views for miles! Both our upper and lower beachfront decks have a gated stairwell for the safety of pets and small children. The dining table seats up to 6 with additional seating for 4 at the dining bar. With plenty of counter space, meal prep is easy and convenient in the well-stocked kitchen. A West facing window allows for the unobstructed view of the Lighthouse and Lighthouse Park, just a short stroll from the property. Just past the kitchen is the stairwell to the loft bedroom with 2 twin beds and a flat screen TV. This room overlooks the main living space and also enjoys a street side view of the center of St. George Island, where you can watch the momentum of summer activities or the occasional winter traveler, depending on the time of year of your visit. Outdoors, you can enjoy easy beach access when hauling coolers or other beach gear via our wooded walkway that extends from the brick paved driveway to the beach boardwalk. A park style charcoal grill is available for your use and an enclosed outdoor shower is located just off of the boardwalk makes rinsing off convenient and a must for keeping sand outside. Beds: 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins, 1 Queen sleeper sofa Our home requires a Sunday turn day in Spring Break and Summer seasons

This place was amazing. It was more space than we needed for just me and my husband (and our dog), but it is a great location and we really loved being able to walk out the back door and right down to the beach. This beach house had everything we needed.

Sun Goddess is in a great location and is attractively furnished. The porch/deck seating drew us to the property and was thoroughly enjoyed. We found the interior stairs connecting the living and sleeping levels to be very inconvenient. We are in our late 60s and early 70s. The tub in the master bathroom is a garden tub and there were no grab/safety bars to stabilize you as you enter/exit the tub. The property needs a thorough cleaning. The HVAC vent in the living area is very grubby. We appreciated the beach gear credit and used it for two wagons to carry our gear back and forth to the beach daily.

Great location and great property. Fit our needs perfectly within walking distance to everywhere! Upon check in we noticed a few things that cleaning crew had missed. Sent an email to property management folks and within a few hours all taken care of! The rest of the week was a blur. Good time had by all including our canine friends! Highly recommend this property.

The property was cozy, well stocked and has a perfect layout for spending time with family and friends. The kitchen was very well equipped and the owners have provided everything we required. The property manager with Forgotten Shores (Jamie Rex) reached out to me personally to make sure we were all ok and if we needed anything after an overnight storm. My personal favorite was the swing on the below deck at night to just watch the stars. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful week with my family in a beautiful home that was so easy to book with no problems from the beginning to the end!!!

This was our second annual trip to SGI and we could not of been more happy. The Sun Goddess was absolutely amazing and everything we needed plus more. The follow up call the day after to make sure we were all settled in was a very nice touch. Morning coffee on the deck watching the dolphins. Afternoons swinging on the second deck. Walking distance to the restraunts, stores and ice cream parlor. Definitely talked about our next stay at the Sun Goddess and how everything was just what we needed.

The TVs are pretty outdated in the bedrooms and fan in master squeaks pretty loud! But amazing stay as always just wish they would upgrade some small things!

This was our second time visiting Sun Goddess. We were very pleased with the house and our interaction with Forgotten Shores. There was a minor issue with the hot water heater; I had not bothered to report it to Forgotten Shores but they reached out to me, presumably based on previous guest feedback. They were able to get plumbers out in a day to fix the hot water (John even found us on the beach to ask to allow the plumbers entrance, because my phone was on airplane mode). Will definitely continue to use Forgotten Shores for our annual SGI visits, and likely continue to return to Sun Goddess. Our one heads up to future guests would be there is a relatively limited selection of cooking utensils (no wooden spoons, metal spatula etc), and there is no supply of any basic spices at all (salt/pepper etc). I would absolutely recommend this property to any friends or family - central location walkable to Blue Parrot, Weber's Donuts, The Lighthouse, BJ's Pizza, and Paddy's Raw Bar with live music. Don't miss out on the seafood truck (and crab cakes) that sets up right across the street.

The house was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. The decks have a fabulous view and the downstairs patio deck was wonderful for cooking outside. The one drawback was the water heater. The house sleeps 8 but only 1 person can take a shower and then have to wait about an hour for more hot water.Overall the house was great though.

The property is in a great location on the beach with an easy walk to food and shops. The property is a bit shabby and could use updates on the fixtures (especially toilets and baths). The management company was very responsive even the day before a holiday to try and fix a broken bed frame. For the price, we expected it to be nicer inside, but the location was perfect for our needs.

This dog friendly bungalow is a great option when staying on the island. It's perfect for a girls getway as we all have our private bedrooms and bath. The porches and views from this house is reason enough to rent here. Close to the lighthouse park, I always feel safe when needing to take the four-legged baby out for a late night walk.

This is our second time in St. George (2020 and 2022). We fell in love with the tranquility and do nothing if you want vacation! We book off season on purpose! This house is clean with a throwback 80’s/90’s feel and decor. Our Vizsla and Dalmatian love the stairs and we are very thankful this place is very dog friendly. It is walking distance to all the Island restaurants and light house. If you don’t want to be close to neighbors or want brand new construction this is NOT the place for you. However, if you want to enjoy casual walks on the beach, meeting new people while having a drink on the top patio or just chilling reading a book by the water this is the place for you.

This was our second stay at Sun Goddess. It was clean and in good repair, and we love the extended decks and the swing on the lower level. We discovered on our first night, there was no bottom sheet on the master bed. The next morning, we discovered the coffeemaker wasn't working properly. It was making coffee, but we had to coax it. I called Forgotten Properties. Not only was the woman I talked to friendly and appropriately appalled, she got to work right away. In 30 minutes, we had an entire set of sheets and a brand-new Keurig. Definitely a 10-star response! We will definitely stay at Sun Goddess again.

Our favorite feature was the outdoor shower! The openness of loft bedroom was a little problematic (no door or sound barrier). However, I realize that is the design of all the bungalows. Other than that, we had a perfect trip. We would definitely rent this place again.

We went to put up umbrella and the spindles were all broken. Housekeeping needs to check all items before next guest check in. I did speak to someone in office , which she wanted to correct it all but we were on the last couple of days of vacation. Overall, our vaca was wonderful & we would def rent again. 😊

The couch in the living room was broken and uncomfortable to sit on, lamps were falling apart, there were no curtains or sense of privacy in any room other than the master bedroom. Amenities were extremely limited (1 roll of paper towels, 2 total trash bags, no additional blankets, no laundry detergent, no beach towels, et al) Overall we really enjoyed our first trip to St George Island but the stay at the 'Sum Goddess' was underwhelming to say the least. We won't be booking this property on our next visit.
