About this house rental
Nestled in Southern Peninsula Region, this charming house for $315 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The villa is a family friendly for 9 persons luxury 200 m2 house in the village of Vogar which is only 15 minutes from Keflavik International Airport, 35 minutes drive from Reykjavik, 15 minutes from The Blue Lagoon and an hour drive to The Golden Circle. The villa has a panorama view of the ocean. Television has Disney Netflix Viaplay. For children are toys Crib / baby carriage / high chair It includes four bedrooms; two with a King size bed and two rooms with Queen size beds plus one single bed. Total for 9 persons. There are two bathrooms, a open and spacious kitchen area, a bright living room with high ceilings, huge windows and a gorgeous fire place. The garden has a large patio facing the ocean with a fire place, a large barbecue grill, garden furniture and a hot tub for 6 people. There is a short walk from the patio down to the ocean. A golf course is 8 min drive away as well as three other golf courses within 30 min drive. Check in is at 3 PM and check out is at 10 AM.

The hosts have an amazing property centrally located between the airport and Reykjavík. The home was furnished with every amenity you could possibly want. They truly thought of everything and were very responsive to all of our questions. The last night of our stay , the Northern Lights danced right over the property culminating a great family vacation. We wil definitely be back

We had such a lovely time staying at Johanna’s place. We had two 2 year olds with us and she left out toys for them and a crib, it was so kind. The place was beautiful and in a beautiful location. Quiet but close to Reykjavík. We would definitely recommend. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Nice house for a family. Nice and quiet neighborhood with easy access to the southern sites. We got very fortunate to see the northern lights from the property. Kim Yong wings is a great local place for dinner and drinks. The fourth bedroom is in the garage and may be tough for young kids.

We absolutely loved our stay, the house is even nicer in person than the pictures portray! There were so many nice amenities and the house was pristinely clean. All the rooms were very comfortable and we all slept well, the neighbor was nice and safe with nicely manicures and walking paths all over to stroll around the bay. We even got to enjoy seeing some wildlife including shore birds and a seal while drinking our morning coffee!

We stayed at this wonderful house for days. Four of us had choices of beds and the rooms and beds are perfect.Visited many places during our stay and it was a pleasure to come back to the house and sit in the spa or go for a walk in the neighborhood. Saw Northern lights a few nights. All in all we recommend this house if you want a pleasant and luxury stay. Thank you for renting to us.

Our family of eight stayed at this property for ten days in August of 2023. It was well stocked and in a beautiful location right on the ocean shore in a small town located close to Keflavik and Reykjavik. The house was large enough to handle all eight of us comfortably. The host was easy to communicate with and solved one minor problem quickly. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a very nice house in a quiet location, but still very near to many sites and activities.

Lots of dishes, towels, cleaning supplies, bathroom items, and hangers. Maintenance of property was needed on inside and outside. Several lights were out in main bath. Oven needed to be cleaned. No extra pillows in bedrooms. No TV instructions. Coffee maker was difficult to use. Landscape needed some attention and cleanup. Windows were dirty, so we cleaned them to get a better view. Hot tub was nice, but no jets or instructions. We would have appreciated a few recommendations on restaurants from host.

Just stepping through the door and you felt right at home! The location was amazing, even saw the Northern Lights from the Neighborhood. Plenty of room for our party of 6. The host was great at getting back to us with answers to any questions we had.

Exactly what we were looking for as a family. The house was a perfect base camp for our day trips. Great to come in the evening and relax in the hot tub. The home was immaculate and the hosts were very accommodating to our requests.

Overall this house was great, very clean and can’t beat the views. Only complaint was the sound insulation in the master bedroom. From howling winds, water pressure noise when someone takes an early shower to gease quacking outside the window, you hear it all. Small things compared to a really great place for a vacation. We just spent a glorious week at Johanna’s property in Vogar and I wish we could have stayed for a lot longer! This house had everything you’d need and then some. The location is perfect for touring the southern side of Iceland. The park and beach were a delight for our 9 year old son. The beds were comfortable, the view is amazing and the hot tub was nice after a long day of hiking. I particularly loved the walking trails in the town and I was able to go for great runs.
We hope to return soon and a huge thank you to Johanna and everyone involved with this property to make our stay so grand!
