Situated in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, this lovely house for $244 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Surf & Sand Villa by the Sea - 3 Bedroom 2 Bath - 5 min Walk to Beach. This recently remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 bath villa is just two short blocks from the beach in beautiful Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. This property is located within walking distance of not only the beach, but also dozens of great restaurants, shops and the world-famous Anglin's Fishing Pier. The open great room with its high beamed ceiling has a day bed sofa, HDTV and a dining area that seats six. The master bedroom has a queen bed, large closet and HDTV. The second bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. The third bedroom has two twin beds and large walk-in closet. The main bath has walk-in shower. Comcast secure WIFI is also included. The galley kitchen features stainless steel appliances as well as new dishware, tableware, cookware, cooking utensils and well-stocked spice cupboard. The villa has been completely renovated and is ready for your perfect beach vacation. You can enjoy the tropically landscaped enclosed courtyard with tables, chairs, sun umbrella or stroll to the beach or a nearby restaurant. There are even two bicycles for a ride around the quiet neighborhood. Also the home is SUPER SANITIZED before every arrival. Great Weather, Fabulous Beaches & the Ocean: Fort Lauderdale is known as the Venice of America with all of its picturesque waterways and canals and your destination villa is located a five minute walk to the world-famous sandy, shallow beach of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Nearby are great restaurants with waterfront dining, unending family activities such as water taxis, snorkeling, drift fishing, glass bottom boat rides and of course, shopping - the list goes on and on. All details of where to go and see are provided to you upon arrival for your convenience. The home was lovely and spacious for us all. There was nice space out back for us to sit outside as well. The area we stayed was 5 minutes from the beach with plenty of stores and things to do around us.

This place is not as represented by the photos or the previous reviews. It’s run down with stains on the good-will furniture, bedding, mattresses, and chairs that feel like they are going to fall apart. If you had visions of cooking in this closet of a kitchen - you can pre-wash every dish before cooking because there is no dishwasher so you have a cleanliness level of what the previous renter left it. Also - cabinets are sticky which matches the rest of the cleanliness of the place including the giant hairball that greeted us when we walked in and the hair stuck to the shower and toilet as we used the washroom that was in complete disrepair with caulking pulling away from the wall. The white tape holding the air conditioners in the walls was a nice touch but the noise of constant room a/c is not endearing. Neither is the back yard with its dirty plastic chairs and a gate with no regular fencing connected to it - zoom in on the pictures. The rest of the place isn’t much better. It’s roomy - yes. It’s dirty and in disrepair - yes. The washer and dryer and in the carport next door - and you get to carry your dirty laundry past the shared neighbors car to do your laundry - and yes - it’s a duplex We stayed there - we made it through but will not be returning. We got our security deposit back - which is why we didn’t complain about the giant hair ball or the misrepresentation of the photos - we didn’t want to lose out on it. We don’t recommend you make the same mistake.

What makes this rental perfect? Location and amenities! Lauderdale By The Sea is a funky little departure from the rest of Ft. Lauderdale, which feels oversized and touristy. Ofcourse you’re just a short Uber ride away from A1A and all that provides, I just like my family vacation a little more laid back. This rental is a 5-7 minute walk to the beach in a lovely and quiet neighborhood. You’re provided with beach umbrellas, a cooler, and plenty of chairs to take with on the way. There’s plenty of restaurants in the walkable area. I appreciate the kitchen, outdoor grill/dining area, onsite laundry, and off street parking. Check in is super easy. We’ve stayed here twice now and are already talking about coming back next year. Plenty of space for the whole family!

We had a lovely stay in Lauderdale By The Sea. The Villa is a short walk to all the dining and the beach while being in a quiet area. There were a few necessities that we required when we arrived and Tom dropped them off promptly. Jan and Tom were very responsive to all my emails. I wished there had been central air but I’m not sure if that is something customary for homes in the area. The box units cooled the whole place with no problem. Having the beach chairs umbrella and towels was so great. Thank you for a great week!

Unit was perfect for our group of 6 adults. Cute little back yard area for sitting. Blocks from town and the beach, close enough to walk. I would caution others to be mindful of the blinds in kitchen when pulling the wood out of the slider as the plastic slide piece breaks easily. We would rent again, super easy check in and great communication.

It was the perfect spot for our 2 families. The men enjoy Mancave, which is a nice cigar lounge. The rest of us want the beach and shopping. We all enjoy the restaurants. This duplex is 0.5 miles from all three. We enjoyed the outdoor areas, and used the grill. Although we were excited about the bikes, we did not use them. The kitchen was tiny, but we were able to cook for our party of 7 easily. Laundry facility is on property. We met the owner and staff, and all were friendly and appropriate.

The house was close to beach and cute area with restaurants and shopping. The house had a great backyard to hangout. Everything was great! Only drawback was the isn’t an ice maker in the fridge or trays so we could not make ice. Overall, would definitely stay there again.

This property is in a great location. It’s an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Jan and Tom were great to work with. They answered our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is a bit dated but had everything we needed. The patio was nice for sitting in the morning and afternoon. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here. Close to the beach, 4 block walk. Lots of food options close. Easy to get to! Nice because it's on a quiet residential street and not right in the center if the busy downtown! Hosts are extremely accommodating and responsive. We will stay here again!

My family and I enjoyed this vacation so much! The home is in a great location - restaurants, beach and activities all very walkable. Such a great city! The home was clean, well stocked and perfect. Jan was extremely accommodating, as she worked with us at check in/check out times- allowing us to leave our luggage on property as we waited for our flights.

My family and I enjoyed this vacation so much! The home is in a great location - restaurants, beach and activities all very walkable. Such a great city! The home was clean, well stocked and perfect. There were enough beach chairs and umbrellas. For each of our group members. Quiet and relaxing
The property was in a really nice neighborhood, very quiet and safe. The condo was very clean and well laid out. The patio area was perfect. Restaurants and shops and grocery stores were within a 5 to 8 minute walk.

This property was as advertised and excellent in every way. It's a close walk to the beach and plenty of great places to eat. The owners thought of everything from easy-to-carry beach chairs to sunscreen to extra toothbrushes for the kids who forgot theirs.
Tom stopped by the property and was very friendly.
I highly recommend it and will definitely try to go again.
