Large indoor garage and additional parking in driveway. No parking allowed on roads during winter. Well thought out spacings to spend time in large groups / families and retreat to quiet areas. Lots of little comfort and practical details throughout the house that prove that we, as owners, also enjoy the house and are always thinking of ways to improve the experience. COUNTY RULES Each county requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to our home's Short Term Rental Permit. We thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below, also included in your signed in the Vacation Rental Agreement. Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement. We were two families sharing the cabin and is was an outstanding location and home for us. The home was clean and perfect setup for a large group with everything we needed. The shuttle service to/from the mountain was also very good, timely and friendly. Owner was responsive and friendly, Great trip for all!

Everything was Amazing! Stay here! We also did the Olympic Valley Stable for our rehersal and Bill and Mich killed it. Such good people. I've stayed at a lot of places in Olympic Valley and this is the best by far! Thank you guys!

Lovely wooded setting in excellent location, with easy access to Everline and Tahoe Palisades. Communication with the property owner and property manager was excellent, and the manager responded quickly to any needs that arose. Could accommodate a large family, with ample seating in the upstairs living area and on the outside deck. Kitchen is well-supplied with utensils and anything one needs to cook.

Perfect amount of space for extended family (8 adults 4 kids) to come together for a long weekend. Kitchen was well stocked for big family meals. Backyard was perfect for kids to play. Only main floor bathroom was accessible thru master which was not an issue for our group but something of note. Beautiful home that was comfortable for family time with easy access to the village at Palisades Tahoe.

Overall we loved our stay. Our one complaint regards the stocking of the house with adequate toiletries. Despite our group size of 12 folks, zero of the bathrooms had soap, shampoo and conditioner. We were told additional supplies were available in a locked supply closet, but upon gaining entry we found only conditioner. We bought our own soap and shampoo.

We were here for a wedding. The property was more than enough for a family gathering For dinner In the well appointed kitchen. Mike was a very gracious and responsive host. The grandkids cried because they didn't want to leave.

We had an awesome time at the Powder Moon on our ski vacation. It is close to the mountain and has convenient access to a shuttle that will take you to and from the property. The house itself is beautiful. We especially liked the family room for game nights and porch for grilling and sitting outside. Mike gave us clear and detailed instructions for check in and even came by to clear the driveway of snow to make it easier for us to get in and out. Overall, awesome place, would love to stay again!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay when visiting Lake Tahoe for our son's wedding. The house is exactly as described. It was perfect! The hot water heater had a hiccup (things happen), but the caretaker and owner fixed it in less than an hour...that is a great example of their customer service. The communication from the time we rented the property until we left was outstanding. I would give Powder Moon 10 stars, if possible.

We stayed during the wild winter weather of 2023 for a family wedding at the mountain. Wonderful, spacious home that easily accommodated our larger group. Well-appointed kitchen, ample space and sleeping arrangements. Mike was a wonderful and responsive host. Would definitely choose this home again!

There were 10 of us, all adults. My husband, his two brothers and their families take a ski vacation for 4-5 days every year. This is the first time in Tahoe. The home was perfect for us! Enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to settle in, kitchen large enough to be able to cook big dinners. Each of the SILs cook one night for everyone and each brother cleaned up after. And this was one of the few places we’ve been to that had a table big enough for all 10 of us! We arrived on Saturday late afternoon, just before a light snow started. The next day it was still snowing, the skiers set out to ski Palisades. They were able to call the shuttle and all 9 (I’m not a skier) set out. Two runs later they were back due to low visibility; the snow storm had increased. The home was perfect to be able to enjoy this. A long window seat in front of an expanse of glass allowed folks to watch the snow come down (so beautiful) as well as gather on window seat, couch and chairs and talk. The gas fireplace in the living room completed the warm picture. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. It had a Keurig and a Mr Coffee with a thermal carafe. It also had a hot water machine for us tea drinkers! The home was well stocked with paper towels and TP should you run out of what’s there to begin with. We stopped at the Safeway in Truckee before getting to the home, so we were set up with food for the entire time there. The owner’s made the check-in/check-out process painless. When we did need help or info, Miles was easily accessible. We highly recommend this home for a family ski get-together.

The living room, with a big TV and fireplace was a perfect gathering space for us with our teenage kids, it was comfortable and cozy with lots of seating options. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked for all our needs from baking pies to roasting a turkey. We loved the big dining room table for family meals and also a couple puzzles and card games! Bedrooms were well appointed, nicely furnished and all had incredibly comfortable beds! You will sleep very well.
Must mention the fantastic neighborhood and proximity to slopes and shops. It was so conveniently located.

Stayed there for my daughter’s wedding. Host Mike stopped by day #1 to make sure everything was satisfactory so appreciated that! The photos are an accurate portrayal.
The upstairs Master worked great for the wedding day with the adjoining sunny reading room a terrific spot for the hair and makeup people given the natural light. Downstairs there is a large hanging closet in the open which was perfect to hang the bridal gown and other dresses. Also the location was very close to the Palisades wedding venue.
Covered porch was very comfy and had a great BBQ. Inside the kitchen/family room was spacious for the 8 of us staying there and for the 6 others that stopped by for drinks and food.
The fridge, microwave, coffee pots (K cup and a regular one), toasters, glassware, and supplies were plentiful and top notch. If you are wine snob (like us!) you might bring stemmed glasses as there are only stemless ones. Cocktail glasses were fine and ice maker worked great.
The TVs worked well and even included HBO. No Apple TV but there were DVD players. There were plenty of directions on how to work the various lights and fans.
Finally the beds and linens were very comfy. We stayed in the downstairs master which worked out great. The other large bedroom with twin queens also was fine. I appreciated Mike allowing me to rearrange the separate private bedroom/bathroom to push the beds together for my son & wife.
So, overall we all had a great time and all visitors were very impressed with Powder Moon. Would definitely stay there again!

The only suggestion would be to add window coverings to the main floor master and guest bedroom off the garage….it is wonderfully sunny in Tahoe, so it does get light very early in the morning.

Great location, superb communication!
We stayed here for July 4 and had a wonderful visit. Communication with the property owners was top-level, as was the house itself. The location is unbeatable--close to the bike path, great hiking trails, Truckee and Tahoe City. Two small suggestions: (1) the bunk bed room would benefit from screens on the windows so they can be opened without allowing in mosquitos, and (2) much of the bedding was winter bedding and too warm for the summer; lighter comforters for summer visitors would be great. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful and Convenient Village Location
Amazing location, right off of the trail to the heart of Olympic Village. So easy to get to/from the main base by car, with tons of easy parking (summer stay).
Gorgeous location.
House is huge and very comfortable. The master suite downstairs is right next door to the bunk room, perfect for families. (With another full suite on the main floor!). Kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you need, including many pantry staples.

This beautiful home was perfect for our family snow trip. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the living room, kitchen area. The window seats were very popular for reading and watching the snow fall.
