Hotel was very clean, staff was welcoming and friendly, the only problem we encountered was we booked the single King room and were given a double Queen room not sure if that was Booking.coms fault or the hotel? we ended up keeping the Queen room. They had plenty of snacks, drinks, and free coffee available. We stayed on the third floor everyone around us were quiet no noise heard only the floor above you could hear the people walking back and forth but other than that it was quiet. The beds were comfy but the pillows weren't very good unfortunately.
Hotel was located by PLENTY of restaurants and even had a awesome mall 8min away it was a great location only 10min away from Canal Park and the Aquarium which was awesome!
I would return to the Tru and would recommend this place for a nice stay in Duluth!
Only issue the sink drain would get clogged after a few minutes of running water. Also we had booked the single king room but we're given a double queen.

Breakfast was excellent.
We were attending a wedding in town and wanted to be able to check in only 30 minutes before the "official" check in time and was told NO rooms were cleaned and ready for check in. Very frustrating and I find it very hard to believe that their cleaning staff was not able to have ANY rooms cleaned and ready from 11 am checkouts until 3:00 check in. I have never experienced a hotel that was not able to accommodate an early checkin (expecially only 30 minutes before official check in)

Liked the cleanliness, the modern look made it seem even cleaner. I liked the breakfast and having an iron and a hair dryer and the shower supplies.
When we first got there the front desk guy was oddly unfriendly, but then the next day the woman that was there was great.

Front desk staff was friendly, especially Jason.
Toilet didn't flush right, dirty around base of shower, location was not convenient to anything
