About this condo rental
Nestled in South Padre Island, this attractive condo for $210 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Enjoy a luxury vacation in this one-bedroom condo that opens onto the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Kids love the built-in bunk beds. You can sleep four people plus two on the sleeper sofa. The colorful decorating accents capture the fun of escaping from the humdrum to a favorite beach resort. Beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and toys are included for your enjoyment. Kitchen has staples like salt, pepper, cooking oil, popular spices, coffee filters. Feel free to shop at the island grocery to make your family favorites while you're here. Appliances include a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, crock pot, and hand mixer. There is a grill outside by the pool. I have several games for your enjoyment when you simply have to leave the beach and come in. There are also some books, which you are welcome to carry down to the beach. There is a small library on the island if you don't find what you like in my little collection. There is cable TV and both 2.4G and 5G WiFi. Relax on the second-floor balcony overlooking the lap pool and beach. Has parking under the building, in front of the building, and overflow across the street. There is an elevator. $450 refundable deposit is required upon reservation. Well-behaved dogs are welcome for a $200 pet fee. We will also need a brief description of the pet you are bringing. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cats (some people are allergic, including the owner). On popular holidays (4th of July, spring break, Easter, etc.) the HOA hires extra security and requires all renters to wear a wristband, which can be purchased at Chacon Realty on the island. Most wristbands are $25 and must be paid for in cash by the renter. We often have a quick turnaround between renters, so we appreciate your attention to the time of check-in (4 p.m.) and checkout (10 a.m.). Sometimes early check-in or late check-out is available for an extra fee. If you desire this, please inquire about the possibility and additional charge.

My Granddaughter and I stayed a week at this condo in August and it was just lovely. It was small but very cute and cozy. We had ocean front views and had easy access to the beach. The owner Lori was very nice and kept in contact with me if I had any questions. I would recommend this condo.

The condo is great for 2 people. More than that, it could be extremely crowded. I have two observations: 1) the front right burner of the stove doesn't work even. It starts giving a lot of heat but then it diminishes to the minimum and then restarts again. It makes it pretty difficult to cook because of the unevenness of the heat. 2) I don't know how anybody could sleep in the upper bunk bed. It doesn't have a ladder to climb or a barrier to protect if a child could sleep there and could easily fall during the night.
But overall, we had a wonderful time and would like to go again!

Great Condo
Very nice place to stay. Owner gets right back to you with any questions. Great place to bring your family. Right on the beach. We plan on going back again and want to stay in the same place. Five star.

The condo conveniently located on the second floor feels like you are right on the beach and has an amazing beach and ocean view. We had no issues but what communication we had with the host was promptly answered, and we are definitely planning to make this our "couple condo" when we come to SPI!

Great place in a great location
Beautiful condo on a beautiful stretch of the beach. The owner was great and communicated all the particulars very clearly. My wife and I both loved it. We would gladly stay here again.

This is a wonderful condo. Right on the beach, has all the amenities listed, and well taken care of by the owner. My friends and I had an absolute relaxing vacation.
As for the owner, the story is totally different. First, the day we arrived, I had to contact her to get the information on how to get into the condo. She had taken an impromptu trip and completely forgotten to send any information. Luckily, I contacted her and the email was sent. This type of customer service is not acceptable when paying the price of the rental.
Second, The owner quickly responded to me after we left that two beach towels were missing. My friend and I remember putting them in the pile of dirty towels and sheets in the bathroom floor (directions given to us by the owner in the email, but the notebook at the condo said do not strip the beds. That was confusing as well) The owner tells me they were not found and would be charging me $40 for the two towels. I message her back and let her know that those were not $40 towels and I would dispute it with VRBO. She then comes back and tells me that she meant to put $20 and would see what she could do to get that done. As you will see in previous rating, this is not her first time to do have trouble with refunds. I have rented many many times from VRBO and have never had one thing break or come up missing., so this is a shock that this occurred. I have unpacked and the towels are not with me or my friend. MY ADVICE, take pictures of items you leave on the bathroom floor separately and of the house, condo, or apartment you rent, so you have proof of things being there. Lesson learned.

We really enjoyed the amazing sunrise from the patio and the most perfect beach view at breakfast. We loved listening to the waves and the peacefulness in the evening. We have a 9.5 month old who is crawling, therefore we really struggled with the cleanliness of the floors and dishes. Everything needed to be scrubbed before being used. We did bring a floor mat for the baby however she is able to crawl and found many different things on the floor to try and eat- we were not able to leave her to play on the floor unattended (next to us while we washed the dishes for example). Things she found were sequins, strings, and long dark hairs. There was not a broom nor a vacuum to attempt to clean up after ourselves either. Those would have been very helpful. There were also long dark hairs on the bathroom towels. My children and myself have blonde hair so it definitely could not have been from us. You should also know that the friendly, laid back atmosphere from all guests here really provided great vacation vibes. We encountered no one that wasn’t looking to help out or be considerate of others. Loved the community feeling here despite most people being on vacation.
If a wonderful, unbeatable view of the beach and a completely convenient beach access (so close! No long boardwalk!) are what you’re looking for- you should most definitely book this place now. Make sure to bring your own wagon to haul things to the beach (my husband had to make many many trips up and down), dustbuster and Clorox wipes. If you’re very concerned with the cleanliness factor, such as having a young child who touches things on the floor, I would not recommend.

A Great Getaway
This property sits right on the beach, and just over the pool. It was close to the elevator, and there are carts to help transport items from the vehicle. Being pet friendly we were weary, but it was super clean! Our dogs loved it too, even the balcony. Paula has thought of do much,, including beach chairs, umbrellas,, and towels. We will definitely consider staying here again.
