Excellent location to Gare Montparnasse.
Comfortable bed and very clean.

The location was the main attraction, it's right beside Gare Montparnass and not far from the Jardin du Luxembourg. It's very handy as a stop-over if you're travelling to west France by train.
The staff were helpful and understanding. Good buffet breakfast and quite reasonable value for a city centre.
It was great to stay in an old-style building which still has some of its original atmosphere.
Strangely, I found the hotel difficult to find the first time. Some of the building's corridors and fire doors were a bit narrow and difficult to negotiate with luggage. Similarly, the lift could have been bigger but these things are minor niggles.

I enjoyed the quiet and clean room.
Even if I enjoyed being on the first floor, I would have expected a bit more space for my luggage.

We arrived at the hotel at around 11am and been asked EUR 50 if we wanted to have an earlier than 3pm check in (in spite rooms were already available and no prior notice was given to us about this extra charge). To this extent we had to get changed in the bathroom with our business clothes and from there go to work. What is called "hospitality".
