Situated in Paso Robles, this lovely house for $462 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Union Road Schoolhouse presents a unique Paso Robles experience, building on its history as one of the first rural schoolhouses in the Paso Robles area, combined with its re-imagining as an elegant hacienda with dramatic high ceilings, gourmet kitchen, downstairs game and TV room, and three acres of fenced, rural privacy. Original schoolhouse configuration leads to a grand upstairs great room and hallway to master bedroom suite, featuring a king bed, outdoor deck access, and en suite bathroom with soaking tub. Three downstairs bedrooms complete the sleeping spaces, with a hall bathroom offering walk-in shower and soaking tub. Additional half-bath off game room for added convenience. Outdoor amenities abound, as well, with outdoor pizza oven, BBQ, multiple dining and seating areas, including the charming shaded gazebo. Indoor fun includes large flat-screen TV and foosball, , along with downstairs wet bar. Stunning kitchen provides many upgraded details, including Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine (bring along your own favorite pods!). (We ask that you remove your shoes when on the upper level, due to the historic wood floors. Reminders are posted in the home.) Union Schoolhouse, built in 1923 as a local resource for the east-side Paso Robles rural community, was the new, modern schoolhouse at the time. The school welcomed children for their first eight years of education and featured indoor plumbing, two classrooms, a stage for school programs, and large outdoor spaces for baseball and playground. We had a great stay at the School house. 4 days of waking up to a great sunrise was a great start to wine tasting each day. The kitchen is well equipped and the upper deck is a great place to relax. Everything from check in to check out was easy and well done.

I reserved two nights at the Union Road Schoolhouse as a grad trip for myself and invited some of my fav people. The house was perfect. Spacious, and clean just as described. The exterior needed some cleaning but the interior was great. Used the grill both nights, sat outside one night, and enjoyed some of the local wine.

Great stay! The house is spacious, open, and welcoming. The kitchen/dining area is perfect for gathering around and hanging out. Only recommendation is for a large sofa/seating area upstairs. Other than that, it was the perfect house for our weekend away!

Nothing more needs to be said other than our stay was wonderful. The property is great and we would come back anytime. Besides the spaciousness of all the rooms (both vertically and horizontally) we particularly appreciated the large coffee service and complimentary bottle of Prosecco. Good job!

The property was just as described. When we arrived the check process was very east. The house is not too far from the main area. It is also very close to some awesome wineries. The house was clean. The beds were comfortable. I would recommend adding a TV to the living room and maybe a sound system.

This property was very spacious and clean The upstairs living/kitchen/master bedroom was beautiful! I had a lot of wedding dessert prep and the kitchen was fantastic. The downstairs bedrooms were nice and there was an excellent family room area.
The barbeque and backyard were nicely kept and everything worked well.
There was a balcony that was a good size. I felt like that area could have been a bit cleaner and better maintained. There was a fair amount of leaves and bird droppings, and some of the railings are loose.
Overall: a wonderful place and I would definately stay again!

Beautiful and Classic
Driving up to this property is very awe inspiring. From the beautiful fountain to the grand entrance, it has a gallant first encounter with its new tenants. I loved the fact that it was a re-purposed old school house building. The history behind the property was very charming. I loved the property grounds which were very big! We even enjoyed morning walks around the property grounds. Nature was definitely in harmony with this property. We even saw deer at night walking in the backyard. It was a beautiful sight! We enjoyed our relaxing time together and left well rested and happy.

This house is really big with a huge living room and 3 bedrooms downstairs. The master bedroom was upstairs. The great room with kitchen was huge with a center island where 20 people could easily sit.
The whole place was clean and very spacious.

We enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room for our family in the kitchen, living room, and we enjoyed the entertainment room with games as well.
The only thing I would say is to keep in mind if renting this place your shoes must be off upstairs to protect flooring. The space is beautiful. When we arrived we heard ongoing non-stop beeping noises from sensors and we didn’t want them to keep us up at night so we had them come over and shut them off which they did and the gentlemen from maintenance was there in less than 15 minutes and solved the issue.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the ample space, we made making our personal pizza and using the pizza oven outside. You do have to take your own wood but pizza paddle. Beautiful place with lots of historic features. As guests we made sure to be mindful of the history it holds and left the place spotless. Thank you!

Plenty of space for 10 people
We enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room for our family in the kitchen, living room, and we enjoyed the entertainment room with games as well.

Great property for a group trip!
We really loved our stay in Paso Robles because of the School House. Very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. The house is perfect for large groups, the kitchen is amazing and we spent most of the time hanging out there. Great coach for lounging downstairs and a ping pong table. Loved the house - we would all stay here again!

Overall our group had a great time at this house. It was neat and elegant (for the most part) and featured several great amenities for a larger group (ping pong table, Bose speaker, outdoor BBQ, outdoor space heaters, etc.). The kitchen was amazing except for the dishwasher, which broke/leaked the second to last day of our stay forcing us to hand wash all dishes for a group of 8 and listen to an annoying beep that was clearly heard every 60 seconds from the master bedroom when trying to sleep (for the last 36 hours of our stay). Additionally, cable only worked upstairs one of the three days that we were there and then downstairs one of three days as well. In the end no major problems DURING THE STAY just some inconveniences experienced that were outweighed by the amenities. The only major issue came 3 weeks AFTER THE STAY when I received an unprofessional false accusation via email (after another party had stayed in the house) stating that our group owed them $9K for ruining their highly worn upstairs hardwood floor by wearing high heels inside. Nobody in our group wore high heels inside at any point during our stay. After discussing the situation with them and them performing further research to obtain the actual details (which you would expect before the accusation, especially when it involves $9K) they confirmed with the staff who initially reported the damage that the damage was not done by our group. This was very concerning given the $9K and I would have expected them to call ASAP, not email after 3 weeks, to perform their due diligence prior to falsely accusing our group of damaging their property. We treated their property with the utmost respect, communicated all serious issues (dishwasher), and spent a significant amount of time going above and beyond to clean the entire home prior to checking out without complaint while they didn’t have the decency to call prior to placing false blame on us for the floor. They did apologize but in the end disappoin

Amazing House!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this remodeled school house! The open floor plan of the kitchen and upstairs living room have amazing views and have plenty of awesome upgrades! Having a game room downstairs means that the kids can play and be noisy while the parents enjoy a relaxing evening by the fire upstairs. Perfect place to relax for the weekend or longer! Very unique layout with tons of open space!

This property is very beautiful and the kitchen is amazing. We had a wonderful time relaxing as the home is very warm and cozy. The outside landscaping needs improvement. There is an outdoor pizza oven, which we used and had a great time. The kitchen oven is very small and there are limited pots and pans so be sure to bring your own pots or fry pans if you are cooking for a large group of people. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs and the master bedroom is upstairs. Overall, it is an amazing property and it is decorated beautifully as well. The location is also pretty close for wine tasting.
