Location, swimming pool, pool bar/cafe
1. Check-in was 15:00, on arrival the apartment hadn’t been cleaned or prepared after previous guests. Tried to contact owners via telephone number provided but received a recorded message in Spanish. Luckily a helpful Spanish speaker from a local business, translated the message and explained our predicament in Spanish via voice message. We was then contacted by the owners via message to say that the cleaners were running late and on their way. We eventually got into the apartment at 15:40.
2. After unpacking and putting toiletries in drawer under bathroom hand basin. We later noticed after using the basin that there was a leak from the basin waste pipe which soaked make up and toiletries. The hair dryer provided was also soaked and did not work.We reported this immediately and it was repaired the next day.
3. On our first evening out, we returned to the complex at approximately 23:00 and could not gain access through the main door as the code provided to us was incomplete. Fortunately a fellow resident eventually arrived and explained to us that the four digit code should be followed by a #. This wasn’t explained on our arrival info.
4. The towels provided (1 each for one week) had seen better days and when we attempted to wash them in the washing machine provided, we found that the spin cycle on the machine did not work, resulting in soaking wet towels which were difficult to dry.
5. Shower drain was blocked and dirty water backed up every time we took a shower. We also found a large Cockroach in the shower tray. A deep clean is necessary in the bathroom.
6. Various light bulbs were out throughout the apartment.
7. Previous reviews stated that the ceiling fan was noisy so the owners were aware of this. The noisy fan had been fixed by jamming a torn up beer mat between the ceiling and the fan housing (not very safe).

The apartment was spotlessly clean. The pool was great. The pool and the area surrounding were beautifully maintained.
There was hot water in the shower. Lovely view over the pool area. Great location, seafront and restaurants within easy walking distance.
No bedroom, pull down bed, not good. Keybox to access property not user friendly. Difficult to open.. Bars on the outside of the door . Agent handling property did not meet us on arrival. When they came looking for a damage deposit they did not arrive at the specified time. No formal receipt was given for the cash that was handed over
