This is a rare find in a nice quiet neighborhood, steps away from spectacular sunsets, fine dining and shopping! Our guests rave it is the perfect cottage to enjoy multi-generation families and friends - the cottage's layout truly caters to quiet bedrooms and plenty of gathering spaces. Ideally located, 3rd House from the beach path and 3 blocks from the highly sought after St Armands Circle - the location cannot be beat! Private parking for up to 5 cars. No need to drive anywhere. Steps to beach to enjoy lazy days and spectacular sunsets. Five minute walk to St. Armands Circle where you can shop, dine, and enjoy live entertainment. This roomy home sleeps 10: 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, one with bathtub, the other two with showers. Crystal clean private pool in fenced backyard, outdoor patio table (seats 8) w/umbrella & high-end poolside chaises/chairs plus Weber BBQ grill (propane provided) - great for outdoor entertaining and star gazing, . The Cottage has durable and clean vinyl plank flooring, fully equipped kitchen for entertaining, leather sectional & chaize, and two tables (one seats 8, the other 4) to eat, play games and visit. 4 bedrooms including Tommy Bahama king bedroom suite with private bath/shower, Large king bedroom and a smaller queen bedroom share a Jack n Jill full bath; the 4th extra large bedroom has two queen beds with a shower/bath directly across the hall. Each bed has a luxury mattress, high-end coverlets, high thread count linens and premium towels/wash cloths, and extra pillows and blankets, and blow dryers for your comfort. King bedrooms have Smart TVs and a large screen Smart TV in the Living area. High speed Internet and cable TV throughout. Amenities include a one car garage, comfortable beach chairs, high quality beach towels and an umbrella for your use during your stay and heavy duty beach wagon to carry your things to the beach. Commercial grade, large capacity washer/dryer, Free Hi Speed Fios Internet WiFi and premium cable channels, heated pool, games and books are there for your use and enjoyment! We were thoroughly satisfied with our recent stay at Pelican cottage Decemer 28- January 4. Lovely cottage, pool and access to the beach and St. Armands shoppes and eateries. The home had all the needed equipment for the beach and pool and was very comfortable. The host was so easy to contact and provided us with information about activities and local delivery methods for food and such. Highly recommend this property and we hope to return!

I appreciate Deb and her Pelican property, it think we have been there for Christmas three of the last 4 years and have a reservation for next year.

The hosts of Pelican Cottage have taken extra efforts to make sure you are comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen, lots of pool toys, beach accessories and a wagon to make the trek to the beach super easy. Comfy beds, games, beach towels, and lots of information about area made it so easy for us to relax and enjoy our vacation! Thank you!!

We absolutely love the Pelican Cottage. This was our second time staying here. The location is perfect, couldn’t be any better. Short walk to the beach and to St Armand’s circle. The house itself is clean, many very comfortable beds to sleep in. Pool area is perfect with a large table to enjoy lunch or dinner outside. Communication with owners was easy,

Loved the short walk to the beach and St Armand’s circle. Everything was in close walking distance. The house was very nice. Lots of bedrooms and all the amenities needed. Deb was so nice to work with quick to help and answer any questions we had.

Loved the short walk to the beach - it is far enough from the public access point that it was not crowded at all. Kids had a blast diving for sand dollars. Easy walk to the circle with so many nice shops and restaurants - very pedestrian friendly. The arcade was a hit with the kids (and adults).
The property was very well maintained. Extremely organized, with everything labeled, making things easy to find (and put away). Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The owners have a very detailed binder with things to do, check in/check out info.

Husband passed away last November. His birthday would have been the 20th, our daughter turned 49 on the 22nd. They always celebrated their birthdays together so i rented your beautiful home for the week as a gift to her. Two of her girlfriends, one has a 9 month old and the other a 2 month old, surprised her by coming Monday evening so they could help her celebrate her birthday on Tuesday. Then me and my daughter enjoyed thecrest ofvthe stay with trips to the beach, enjoying the pool and shopping at St. Armands Circle shops. The weather was great and we only had a few afternoon rain showers. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We have stayed at this property twice now, and have had an absolutely fantastic time both times! This property is easily walkable to Saint Armands Circle, a short distance to the beach (walkable over sand), and is a great place for a family to stay! The pool is always immaculate and the hosts, Deb and Ed, are wonderful! Highly recommend!

First of all, our overall stay was very nice. Lido Beach is our favorite beach in Florida.
1)The 100 feet to the beach path was accurate. However, they fail to tell you it's another half mile walk down the path to the actual beach. Not one minute as advertised. Three young children and elderly family members had a very hard time with the long-distance walk. (no other way to get there)
2) No soap in the bathrooms to wash your hands.
3) Garage and pool area were rundown and filthy. Also, the included beach toys, chairs, umbrellas etc. were rusty worn out, broken and dirty. Included bikes were nowhere in sight. And the wagon for beach transport is rusty and gross.
4) Checked in on Saturday and the pool was finally cleaned on Thursday. Lots of sand and debris at the bottom.
100% feel as though this property is in a slow decline.
I'm sure when they bought it in 2019 it was nice. The owners have completely let things go. At this price I think there might be better options.

We were a household of musicians and were able to sit in the outdoor space and play acoustically a little everyday. It was very private. The pool was perfect as that is a "must" for all our rentals.
I placed a call in to Deb concerning the inability to get the main room TV to work. A TV in one of the bedrooms could not get anything other than one channel. (We did have someone in our group who was quite knowledgeable in this technology,) but unfortunately we could not get the TVs to work properly.) Deb worked to resolve. The path to the beach was very close, however the walk to the water was a little longer than what a bunch of 60 something people expected, This fact though would not have changed our decision to stay there. The beach was just gorgeous. The icemaker didn't work and it would have been nice to have at least some ice cube trays. We spent about $60.00 on ice for the week. Lastly, we needed a big pasta pot which there was not one. I bought one and left it for the next family. Please know these few things would never have changed our minds on this rental. We are grown adults just happy and content to be away and be together. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, private, and in a very nice, quiet area. Nothing is ever quite perfect. This place was close to it though.

The house was clean and ready for us. The AC worked very well indeed. The location and access to the beach was such a plus. The pool and area around the pool was perfect for our needs with all supplies to keep up comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and we were never disturbed by anything. This trip was spent with family after my father death in March. It was 4 generations and your home was perfect. Beautifully decorated and well equipped.
The pool gave the children and their parents a place to enjoy when great grandmother and grandparents were ready for rest .
We come to the Sarasota, Longboat Key location 2 times annually and have certainly found a more permanent home for our trips.
