Next to the hotel are lots of eateries, restaurants and shops. Hoan Kiem lake and Dong Xuan market are within 15 minutes' walk from the hotel.
The hotel staff were all very polite and helpful. They assisted us with our SIM cards and one even helped us to reason with a taxi driver who tried to overcharge us 10 times the regular fare.
The rooms are reasonably clean with all basic needs met.
Except for the loud banging of room doors by the other guests and the tiny elevator, there is nothing that we dislike.

Nice Location. There is a very nice breakfast called Bun Cuan beside the hotel building. You can walk from hotel to many check point in Hanoi; Hoàn Kiếm Lake, Thăng Long Water Puppet Theater, St. Joseph Cathedral, Hanoi Old Quarter, Hanoi Street Train etc. Even night market on weekend is everywhere.
The building is not soudproof. I can heard someone talking or walking pass the room. The building is quite old. So it.s not clean.
