About this house rental
Located in La Pointe, this charming house for $264 per night is a great option for your next break. Enjoy beautiful sunset views from our spacious deck overlooking the #5 green and fairway of the Robert Trent Jones designed Madeline Island Golf Club. Our cute cottage on the golf course is located on a quiet private lane Please note: our cottage has satellite Tv in the living room. Our cottage is 875 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and sleeps 4. Both bedrooms have new Serta 12 inch memory foam queen size beds Bathroom #1 has a bathtub with shower. Bath #2 has a shower Sooth tired muscles with our natural cedar one person sauna and shower unit. The kitchen is equipped with utensils, pots and pans, dishes and glassware including wine glasses and cocktail glasses. A coffeemaker, toaster and crockpot are also included. Make frozen pizzas with our countertop pizza oven Guests are welcome to enjoy one of the books from our library shelves during your stay. Enjoy our sun dappled deck furnished with cushions and loungers. Deck is equipped with a Weber charcoal grill. In the rare event of rain feel free to move into our gazebo located adjacent to the deck. No trip to the island is complete without spending time at the Town Park beach. The beach is a beautiful stretch of sand with a breathtaking inland lagoon. We offer our guests the use of our 17 foot canoe. We provide paddles and life jackets for adults and children free of charge. The canoe is racked at the beach. Please be aware that 2 adults are needed to lift and replace the canoe from its rack. We provide starter supplies of the following: Paper towels, toilet tissue, bath soap. We also supply kitchen towels and dish soap. Bath towels and hand towels are supplied for the number of guests registered. Please be aware that Wisconsin law does not allow us to provide any consumables including spices and salt and pepper. The property is an excellent size and was easy to locate. The common area is cozy and well appointed. I would have rated the cabin higher if it was clean. It needs a thorough, deep cleaning from top to bottom.

We throughly enjoyed our stay on Madeline Island! The cottage was perfect! Very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed! It is located on a quiet dead end road, yet was only a short few minute drive to town. The 2 story gazebo was such a hit with our 5 year old, and the view of the 5th green of the golf course made it even more of a unique experience! Loved that the cottage had a sauna and a jet tub to relax at the end of the night! It was also not far from the state and town park, about a 10 minute drive or so. I give this property 5 stars, it was the perfect experience!

Madeline Island is a summer home to several members of our family and has been for over a century! Since we no longer own property, renting is the next best thing. We saw many family members and boated around the islands.
The stay was wonderful Thank you! My biggest comment/concern is the bathroom floors were not very clean nor were the window openings nor was the deck. The deck furniture could all use major cleaning as well.
I’m sorry for the cleanliness report yet I believe it’s very important.
The cabin is nicely laid out; we all had a good time.
How about adding some board games and a variety of card games?

Cute cottage overlooking the golf course in the middle of everything we wanted to get to. Love biking the roads and the trails, could bike into town within 10 minutes. Cozy home on a peaceful road.

The house was great. The view of the golf course is great, and it's fun watching herds of golfers. I think I'm ready to make smart remarks and give bad advice. could use wifi but I wouldn"t not stay because of that as next 4th will be my 3rd yr there. and the sauna is fantstic.

Check in was easy, place was very spacious. We were promptly greeted by the neighbor dogs, which were our favorite part! They came back everyday for their snack tax. Would love to visit again and stay in the same house!

Had a lovely time on Madeleine Island at this property. Due to a packed schedule, we did not get to enjoy the nice porch (or canoeing) as we would’ve liked but the property was a lovely place, quiet and a very quick trip into the main town area. Entire process was easy (check-in and access). Thanks for a nice stay!

The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the dining and living areas were very pleasant. Madeline Island is a great destination for a get away. We had a very nice stay!
Our only complaint was the lack of attention to detail on the cleaning front. The ceiling fans were loaded with dust. The stove and stove drawer were very greasy. We scrubbed the cook top knobs because they were really grimy. The patio doors had dead bugs and cobwebs along the corners. Given that renters pay a cleaning fee, we expected greater attention to detail.

Birthday get away
Ron is one of the most responsive and attentive hosts ever! He alerted us to severe weather which was deeply appreciated. The kitchen is well stocked, beds were comfortable, lots of towels! We'd definitely stay again!

Very nice house & location
We spent a week on the island for a family reunion. It worked out very well. The deck is especially nice, in fact it offers shade almost all day, which seems very unusual. Would have been a 5 but there are some quirks in the house, e.g. certain kitchen cabinets are hard to access unless you’re tall. That’s very minor & certainly we may want to rent the house for our annual family reunion again in the future. Thanks!

The house was very nice to stay in. Bed were very comfortable, rooms were a good size, kitchen was well-equipped, flyers and other info on the Island were provided, outside deck was great, use of a canoe at BigBay was a fun addition, two story gazebo was a plus, as was sauna. There were no real negative. Perhaps owner could mention that beach towels are not provided, which I figured and brought my own. Host was responsive when I had questions. Location was wonderful since it was very peaceful, yet closes enough to town to walk. Great place to stay!

Just Okay--No WiFi

This is a great location and Ron was a very responsive host. The kitchen was very well stocked as well.
I took a star off because I felt the property could have been slightly more clean (the floors especially) and nowhere in the listing does it state that WiFi is not available. I contacted Ron to confirm, and he said there is no internet access. I have very bad reception on the island, so that was a significant problem for me and my husband since he was planning to do some work while on vacation.
Also, the jacuzzi is quite old, small, and the jets need a good cleaning--I suspect that is why it is not pictured in the listing. With better cleaning and maintenance, this would be a five-star stay.
