We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in this adorable bungalow. The location can’t be beat! It had all the essentials for our family, including a high chair, toddler step, beach toys and a wagon. We also appreciated how quiet it was at night.

I gave 5’s across the board with the exception of cleanliness … only because we found some broken glass between the couch and side table but this could’ve been easily overseen by cleaners… we only found it because of my one year old crawling. We loved the backyard and the proximity to the beach.. it is literally minutes from beach.
Only downside is you can’t really walk to get food, it’s on the other side of the (bridge?) not sure what to call it and if you do walk through the neighborhood it’s a good long walk .. not a huge deal but just FYI for anyone who wants to walk to get food or coffee…
Overall we loved this home and our stay and the communication with the property team was exceptional. As long as you are good with sharing a wall with neighbors this house is perfect.

We stayed 3 nights at this little cottage and had a wonderful time! The cottage is very clean and decorated nicely. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. The queen bed was very comfortable. We took our 2 dogs and we were very pleased with the fully fenced backyard and having the dog beach just down the street. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe.
Lots of beach gear in the garage for your use as well as beach towels.
We would definitely love to stay here again :)

I'm sure I'm not alone in having had some bad VRBO experiences, to the point that I have mostly gone back to staying in hotels. HOWEVER, this rental is the way VRBO used to be! No crazy fees, the place was absolutely lovely, the communication was amazing! I would absolutely stay here again, and I probably will since I'm in the area so much these days. These folks really do it right.

We loved this property, it's excellent location - across from the beach in a quiet area, the private patio - the yard was perfect for our dog, and the little notes and touches from management. Just lovely. Management was also very helpful and accommodating.

The cottage was really lovely and so quaint and cute! Loved our neighbors too and hung out with them! The cottage was well appointed, yard was lovely and beach access incredible! Very clean as well! Very calming and overall soooo fun!!!

I came into town, for a family wedding. I knew that my grandchildren would love the location, and they did. There were wagons and children's toys, plenty of beach towels, washer, dryer, and beach chairs. It was just perfect.

My wife, son, and I stayed here for a wedding that we were in town for. Property was perfect for the 3 of us and the location doesn’t get any better with a magnificent beach right across the street. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.

The location, check in, check out and communication were fabulous. The place was well-stocked and parking was easy. Unfortunately it’s very small (smaller than a Hyatt Place Hotel), old furniture and not very clean (everything was sticky). It would be fine for 2 people, maybe 3, but not 4. It should be listed at less than $300.

Perfect location, wonderful house
We had a wonderful stay at the Seahorse cottage! The location was spectacular— just a few short blocks from an expansive and breathtaking beach. The property was perfect, with a great outdoor sitting area, lovely living room area and three comfy beds. The place looks and feels exactly as described. The host was incredibly accommodating is so many ways and helped make our stay comfy and special. Del Mar is a fantastic spot for families, a gaggle of girlfriends or a couple on a getaway. And the Seahorse is the ideal spot to enjoy it. I would def come back! Thanks for a great stay.

Great Del Mar beach cottage
This cottage was wonderful! It is so close to the beach at 25th street in Del Mar! We could easily walk down the beach to Del Mar restaurants. The cottage was very clean, easy to enter, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen had every thing we needed. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a convenient beach location that isn't a hotel!

We had a lovely stay! The bungalow was adorable and very clean. Just a short walk to the beach. We loved that we were so close to dog beach and great eateries as well. The recommendations that were left for us were perfect. Couldn’t ask for more.

A perfect little cottage
We were on a roadtrip to tour colleges in Southern California and decided to stay near the beach to have a bit of fun in between. What luck we picked the Seahorse Cottage! This turned out to be my daughter's favorite part of our 4 leg trip. We stayed in 4 different rentals over 10 days, and this one was the overall winner. It's compact, but very livable. It had everything we needed, and when we couldn't figure something out the owner responded immediately to help us out.
We loved the private backyard and ate all our meals there. It's also very quiet at night, which is something you don't always get with a beach rental. Really wonderful and we definitely hope to return.

Cozy cottage with close proximity to the beach and easy access to dining and shopping. Parking was a bit tight. Bathroom needs a ventilation system, and there was no air conditioning. Cute decor and plenty of seating in the living room and kitchen. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect stay & super close to the beach
The apartment was a super short walk to the beach and not far from Del Mar restaurants and shopping. The apartment is well equipped with kitchen items and beach toys. Was a super easy process and will definitely book again for our next stay in Del Mar!

Beach Getaway
This was my second time staying here. Enjoyed the first time so much I brought my adult son. For us, the surfboards, boogie boards, towels, chairs and umbrellas are important because we are big beach goers. We arranged for 2 beach cruisers to be waiting for us in the garage which was icing on the cake. Communication is fantastic, any questions or concerns are answered immediately. Quiet neighborhood, and the beach is across the street.
