About this docked boat rental
Nestled in Tavernier, this lovely docked boat for $375 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Very spacious, Comfortable and "super clean" Houseboat. “Baycation” is a 44'x15' triple level upper deck Houseboat completely remodeled. She has one master bedroom with queen size bed, very comfortable sleeper couch, and extendable single sleeper. Full bathroom with very spacious shower. We do ask not to flush toilet paper. There is a bath/shower house available The galley is equipped with all your needs from home; Your cooking options are a BBQ Weber grill, convectional oven, plug in griddle and NUWAVE induction stove top. Microwave, coffee maker (with coffee and filters) and Blender. Refrigerator/freezer, beer/wine/water cooler and Ice maker. There is also a very clean bathhouse available right next to the houseboat and a nearby laundry facility, if needed. There is so much to do right in our area! But, right in the marina, the houseboat comes with bikes, fishing rods and paddleboards. We have a kayak rental, jet ski rental, fishing charter boats, snorkel/sunset cruise charter boat, private charters, a fish market, Cuban café, Dockside raw bar, upstairs is Old Tavernier Restaurant, (an amazing Italian Greek cuisine), all while staying secluded on the houseboat with all it's amenities. We have beaches close by and a shopping center 1/4 mile away. This is a great location as we are located at Mile Marker 90, the south end of Key Largo and the north end of Islamorada. Our marina is located on the old road which runs parallel to overseas highway. We are the very north end of Islamorada, where the highway changes down to two lanes and during high season that becomes bumper to bumper heading south, of which you don't have to drive through. Our location is a great day trip to Key West and/or a great stop on your way to or back from key west. By water, we are minutes (a paddleboard ride) to Tavernier Creek which gives you immediate access to Ocean side or Bayside. ***** The marina is protected on all four sides, which creates just a gentle movement of the boat, certainly a great night sleep. “Baycation” is newly renovated with all the comforts of home and available for your vacation. She stays at the dock, she cannot be moved from the marina.. I have many guests that will bring a small boat or rent a small boat and you are more than welcome to tie up to the houseboat. We also have trailer storage available with no extra charge. On the houseboat, your vacation will be stationary, but have the experience of living right on the water. I will meet you at the boat, show you where to park, get you a cart for your luggage and personally walk you through the boat and answer any questions you may have. Everyone of all ages enjoy this vacation, take a peek yourself with the guest book everyone signs! ****** You can leave Boston or New York on one of dozens of 3 to 2.5 hour daily direct flights to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami in the morning and be on board by early afternoon, in the tropics. Of course, the winter season is most popular with temperatures in the 70's to low 80's for Nov-Mar with almost no rain (1-2 inches per month). The Keys have half the summer rainfall that South Florida (e.g., Miami) does. Our sea breezes and temperatures stay in the mid-to-high 80's & 90’s. That's why Floridians vacation in the Keys during the summer months given the great year-round weather. During the summer most of our renters are from Florida, and they know the best places to go in the state.

Overnight stay was fun. Quarters tight as you would expect. Immaculately cleaned and easy to come and go. We didn't get a chance to explore that part of the Keys but the accommodations were very comfortable.

Heidi our host was great. Met us at the boat and went over everything. The amenities were perfect for the wife and I and the boat location is ideal for hitting Islamorada. My wife would catch some sun on the upper deck as I fished right of the back of the boat.
The Old Tavernier restaurant is a great spot to grab an exceptional meal with local atmosphere. We will definitely be recommending this to our friends and coming back.

From finding this vacation rental to saying goodbye, Heidi the property owner was a absolute delight. We cannot wait until we can get back and enjoy all that Islamorada has to offer. The boat itself was very clean and had all the conveniences of home. See you soon Baycation!!!

The houseboat and our stay in Islamorada was everything we imagined and more. Heidi, our host, went out of her way to make my us feel welcomed. She even hung birthday decorations and had a bottle of champagne waiting for us when we arrived to celebrate my wife’s birthday!
The Marina was awesome and the people working there from Brad the Jetski guy to the Catamaran Crew to JT the Bartender at the Raw Bar were all super friendly and inviting. It was one of our funnest vacations and I’d highly recommend it.

We decided to try something different and Heidi’s houseboat was the perfect choice. The boat is parked right behind a restaurant and raw bar which we took advantage of. We also had a fantastic morning of fishing with Aaron who is a local fishing guide located right in the marina. I highly recommend the “Baycation” for those that are seeking something a little different.

Shower was so small!! Had to use shower and bathroom outside the boat. I left the following day that I got there. Not at all worth the money I paid . It was a waste of my money I’m a disabled Veteran and on a fixed income. Would NEVER go back. The worst vacation I have ever had.

Bed sleeps amazing, the locals are amazing and the Host is THE HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTEST!!! Heidi the owner is simply the best. She LOVES taking care of her guest and she was so great to deal with. We loved her and all the locals we met so much. The bar and restaurants there in the marina are so much fun and the espresso martini in the upstairs italian restaurant at the marina is the best thing I have ever had. So all boat and water lovers will adore this spot and you simply cant beat briging your own little boat to cruise around. I loved loved loved this place!!!

Can't say enough wonderful things about our stay. From our greeting with the owner Heidi to our check out, our experience far surpassed our expectations. The accommodations were clean and well stocked with everything we needed including coffee for the coffee pot! The vessel was quaint and beautifully decorated and fully updated with super cold AC and even a full fridge with ice. There was nothing that we could need that was not provided. We ate dinner at the dockside restaurant and breakfast at the cuban cafe, both a stones throw from the vessel. We even tied up our boat to the houseboat.. Our host gave us special attention and gave us great recommendations of where to go and what to do. We loved it so much we are going back July 4th weekend. This property is not to be missed. Thank you Heidi for making our trip so memorable!

Everything was great! The location was beautiful & convenient. The boat was clean & provided a fun relaxing experience. We loved that it was dog friendly too! My son fished from the boat daily while we relaxed on the top deck. Everyone was friendly & helpful in the Mariana. Hedi was awesome! She was kind & helpful. She suggested feeding the tarpon & that was a highlight of our trip. We used the paddle boards for a day of fishing leaving right out of the mariana. It was super easy! Overall a wonderful experience.

This golden gem is located in an area with a
Boardwalk and has a gift shop, food options and fish market. The building looks run down from the outside but don’t let this fool you, it’s actually the BEST OF THE BEST in the area as far as food goes.
There is an option for the fancier type meal at the restaurant located upstairs or downstairs for a more casual meal with excellent food options, including fresh lobster you can choose from the tank! Literally a restaurant/ bar steps out your door!

I have to mention the Cuban coffee shop with the best coffee, empanadas, and pasties. There’s also a cute little shaved ice trailer with the most authentic shaved Hawaiian Ice around the corner.
The houseboat stay may not be for everyone. If you have stayed in a boat or RV, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, then give it a try and see what you think.
My 17 year old son loves fishing off the boat and was able to catch multiple snapper and barracuda!’ Easy catch and release! Eddy’s bait shop was a an easy walk to get the essentials.

Great find - clean, well appointed and perfect spot to be part of the action (main marina) but still have your private spot. Food steps away was amazing. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay on the roomy and equipped houseboat.
