About this house rental
Nestled in Kill Devil Hills, this charming house for $231 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Located in Kill Devil Hills on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina, The Blue Oasis is nestled in a small, quiet neighborhood, just about a five minute walk to the beach. Don't judge a book by its cover. We've been told many times that the exterior doesn't do the interior justice. This cottage and surrounding property is for non-smokers only. It is well furnished and larger than you would expect. The Blue Oasis is a newly updated cottage perfect for that cozy, beach getaway. This beautifully decorated home is ideal for 2 families with 2 queen size bedrooms, a bathroom, living room and a fully stocked, eat-in kitchen on the first floor. The second floor, which is accessed through the kitchen door or side entrance for privacy, has a family room, full bath, queen bedroom, and a bedroom with a pyramid bunk (double on bottom, twin on top) and an additional twin. We provide Wifi and Roku TV's in both living rooms and each bedroom with HDMI cables attached to hook up to your own devices. Each TV includes subscriptions to both Disney+ and Netflix. This cozy cottage offers a really awesome, fenced-in, spacious backyard entertainment space, complete with an outdoor sectional sofa with covered dining table, picnic table, above-ground, fenced-in children's pool (9' in diameter and 28" tall at water line), gas grill, fire pit, hammock, swing, clothesline, a shed with yard and beach equipment, and an outdoor shower stall. We are excited to announce a hot tub will be installed coming April 2024!! There is parking for at least 4 vehicles with street parking also available. The beach is within an easy 5 minute walk, and there are many restaurants, stores, and attractions within a short distance. Our rates may vary day by day. Please select your period to see the exact price for your selected dates. We have a 7 night minimum stay during our peak season from May 25th-August 31st, with check-in and check-out on Saturday only. Towels and linens are included. **Due to the serious allergies of some of our most frequent guests, we do not allow any animals at our property. **PLEASE NOTE: The guest making the reservation must be at least 25 years old and must be among the group staying at The Blue Oasis.This cottage is for non-smokers only, both inside as well as outside on our property, due to the severe allergies of owners as well as frequent guests. Thank you for your understanding! **PLEASE NOTE: If you are here for work, a cleaning fee will be charged after every week of your stay, including a cleaning fee at the end of your stay, and my maintenance crew will visit every week to make sure all house policies are being followed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and in a great location- close to the beach and the activities in Kill Devils, but also central to all the other outer banks towns we wanted to visit. Although there were just two of us on this trip, we commented several times that this house would be perfect for multiple families traveling together. The owner is very thoughtful in her communication and in the amenities provided in the house. The backyard was also really nice. It was too cold for us to enjoy the pool, but we did nap in the hammock and build a fire in the pit. We would definitely stay here again.

We have spent several weeks over the past several years staying at the blue oasis, and every year, it keeps getting better! Thank you Lauralee for your thoughtful hospitality and for continuing to upgrade your lovely home away from home. The kids love spending time in the outdoor cowboy pool, and the upgrades to the backyard space provide plenty of room to relax, both inside and out. All of the provided amenities are super helpful while staying in the house, and traveling to and from the beach. Staying here makes packing so much easier! We are looking forward to another visit next year!

House had everything we needed. Great location for dining, beach access and plenty of space for family activities. Kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook and the backyard pool keeps the kids entertained after a long day at the beach. Highly recommend this house.

This house lives bigger than it looks from the outside! A big sectional in the LR for relaxing, another living room upstairs gives space to spread out. Beds are made, bathrooms are stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Kitchen has everything you need! I loved the back patio with a large sun shade for afternoon relaxing out of the hot sun (I think the photos show an umbrella but it is now a much larger sun shade). Fire pit with fire logs provided, beach chairs and umbrella, and even a small pool (maybe 24” deep and 6’ across) with a pump so it’s refreshing for both kids and adults, and sounds like a water feature next to the patio! Very relaxing! We loved our time there!

My family and I broke down on our day trip to OBX. We stayed at the Blue Oasis and it was wonderful. Very clean and beds were super comfortable. It was so convenient to have samples of necessities like coffee, toilet paper and soap! Especially since we were not prepared for an overnight trip. Highly recommend the Blue Oasis to anyone looking to vacation in OBX.

The house was just as cute as pictured. The proximity to the beach was easy. It had just the right amount of bedrooms and baths. There were lots of toys and games to keep the grandkids busy and they LOVED the pool. I highly recommend renting from Lauralee; she was very polite and responsive. We hope to visit again!

I can not express how much we enjoyed our stay! The house is absolutely perfect! The owners have thought of everything, from cooking, playing, relaxing and enjoying the beach! It was a much needed getaway and we would book again in a heartbeat!!

Such a nice property! The house was roomy enough for our extended family trip. Love the "split" of the house. It allowed for upstairs guests to have a little privacy for down time for the kids. The yard is a perfect size with lots to keep the kids busy and the parents relaxed. We loved the vintage gaming system and had lots of fun reliving our youth.

Our family of 5 with kids aged 9, 8 and 6 had a great time at the Blue Oasis and it is exactly as described. Easily could have fit another small family without feeling cramped.
The same house was stocked very well which helped not having to bring as much on our drive from the northeast. Short walk to the beach, stores, restaurant and pier. The backyard was a huge plus over other houses and the kids loved cooling off in the pool when we weren’t at the beach. Lauralee was extremely helpful providing info especially since it was our first time in the area. Highly recommend the Blue Oasis!

Needed a place with no steps for my elderly mother. She loved that she did not have to climb a single step if she did not want to. We were able to drop her off at the beach access a couple of blocks over with no dune to climb! Also found out that there are beach wheelchairs available for free,if needed! That info is at the beach access. The Blue Oasis is family friendly. Great if you have younger children with plenty of toys and games. We are kids at heart & played video games. We had a cookout in back yard. Also a nice fire pit and small pool. Mom was able to get in and soak her feet while I floated. More for kids but we still enjoyed it. The patio furniture was great for our back yard 25th Anniversary meal. Love the Doterra soaps and shampoo. Everything we needed was already there including spices and cooking oil for cooking. Beach chairs were nice. I accidently left my house and car keys and they mailed them to me for free. Owners are very nice and accommodating. We had a wonderful time!

This cozy cottage was very nice and comfortable. Our daughter's family with 2 young children had their own space upstairs. Although the kitchen was compact, it was well stocked. The gem was the fenced back yard and kid's pool. We spent hours there and the addition of the patio cover made that area a nice added living area.

The Blue Oasis is a wonderful house. It has everything you need for your stay: clean, well appointed bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. The beds and couches are comfortable. It is close to the beach and has a nice backyard to hang out in. There are some games and books provided, and tvs with Roku. The property owners communicated well and were easy to contact. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a great find the Blue Oasis was!our family had a much needed relaxing vacation in the outer banks, and our stay at the blue Oasis was exactly what we were looking for. All the ammenities were thoughtfully provided with personal touch that made the house feel like home away from home. Everything was neat and tidy, and the backyard allowed for plenty of room for the kids to play. They loved cooling off in the pool! It's an easy walk to the beach, even with the family in tow, and there are plenty of things to do around the area to keep everyone entertained for the week. Thank you for making our get away so memorable! We'll be back for sure!

Lauralee is the hostess with the mostest! Their home is very clean and everything you need is there. Great communication and she really wants to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. We arrived at the house early 1;00 The cleaning person was there. We went to lunch then beach. We went back to the house at 4:00 cleaning lady was still there. She asked if we could give her 5 more minutes which turned into 10.

We had a wonderful time in the Outer Banks at this house. The rooms are very nice and the upstairs den is a cozy place to hangout. We went to the beach everyday and the shed had all we needed to bring, from a buggy to chairs and toys. The beach is a very short walk from the house and had a lifeguard which was great.

Perfect vacation home for two families with children
We loved our stay at the Blue Oasis. It was extremely close and in walking distance to the beach. The house had all the accommodations we needed. We liked how the kids could have their own area upstairs for sleeping and the beds were comfortable. Lauralee was very prompt with answering any questions we had and the home was very welcoming. Thanks for making our vacation awesome!

Better than expected.
We had an awsome stay at the Blue Oasis. Short walk to the beach where we caught some whiting and puffers also the provided beach cart was very handy. Over all the house is very nice and fit our group of 5 adults and 4 kids very well. We are oudoor people so we deffinatly appreciate the newly redone back yard. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

We were invited to an OBX destination wedding/elopement with only a week’s notice and wanted to find a spot for our family to all be together (groom’s parents, adult siblings and their spouses- 6 adults total). Blue Oasis was the perfect spot! We were near all the wedding related locations, great food choices, and had all the amenities of home. I was even able to put in a full day of work one of the days and had a perfect home-away-from-home office setup by taking over the upstairs seating area; the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. Lauralee was a fantastic host and we’d happily visit again!

Blue Oasis is Amazing
My family and I came on very short notice and the property manager was amazingly wonderful at helping us get into the property and made check in and everything very simple and easy. Once we got there the house was perfect! It’s very well stocked with everything you need, it’s very clean and has plenty of space for a big family. Also its a close walk to the beach and close to all restaurants and attractions. Our favorite place to eat while staying there was Awful Arthur oyster bar which is two minutes away. We had a wonderful experience staying at the blue oasis and would definitely recommend it to future families!

Wonderful Oasis
The Blue Oasis was the perfect vacation home for our family vacation. Having bedrooms downstairs was a godsend for my elderly mother, and the children loved having their own space upstairs. The living room and kitchen were spacious and comfortable. There was no pantry, but we were able to store our groceries out of sight in the large laundry area right next to the kitchen. The house was clean and only a short walk away from the beach. I would definitely rent this home again!!

We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit for chatting and s’mores. House has an excellent layout for two groups: upstairs and downstairs each have two bedrooms which share a bath. We put the teens upstairs and kept the downstairs for the grown ups. Beach wagon was great! Lauralee was promptly responsive with any questions we had. Overall, a great place to spend a fun week reconnecting with family.
