Decent property that fit our needs. Family of four stayed here for four nights. Kitchen provided the essentials for breakfast and sometimes lunch while we ventured out for dinner. Having parking available was very nice. We could occasionally hear people in the pool next door but for a house in an urban area found it to be quiet enough. Would recommend a stay here.

Property was clean and nicely appointed. Plenty of towels. Bathrooms were a bit cramped and bathroom sinks were incredibly small. (I had to press my head against the mirror in order not to slop toothpaste and water everywhere when brushing my teeth!)
I understand why they are small, as it seems the bathrooms were installed after the house was built and this was a very old apartment.
A couple of suggestions: My sister and brother-in-law were both struggling with allergies and used up the toilet paper quickly blowing their noses. Might provide a bit more toilet paper, or offer some kleenex in the bedrooms in order that guests don't run out.
Also, the rug in the living room is made of some sort of jute type material that is very painful to walk on in bare or stocking feet. Maybe put a different low nap rug in the living room.
A throw was provided on the couch. Perhaps if you could offer 1 or 2 more throws there, that would make things a bit more comfortable. The AC blows right onto the extended part of the couch and we found that we had to keep swapping the one throw back and forth to stay comfortable!
It would be great if there was a half bathroom on the ground floor. Again I realize that space is tight...maybe a small addition could be put where the door in the kitchen leads out to the front porch.
Finally, I'm an insurance adjuster so I'm extra sensitive to noticing hazards, but, you might want to consider putting a railing up on the front porch to prevent falls

Property was nice and updated and had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor seating area especially at night. Great location to walk Charleston. Master bath tiny but updated. We enjoyed our stay.

Very smooth check in, the property had everything needed but the location here cannot be bested. A few blocks off king street, easy walks to a variety of local spots. Absolutely loved it.

The house was as advertised. Clean and easily accessible to all the hot spots in Charleston. Host was communicative.

Charleston stay
Very good location. Three blocks off King street. Did not get the loud music noise from King Street bars, but easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Unit was clean. Both bedrooms upstairs and good size rooms. Bathrooms small, but expected in older house. Back patio was okay, nothing special. Stay Duvet management communication was very good with check-in and answering a couple of questions I had.

Great weekend
This property is off the road so it is much quieter than a lot of Charleston properties.

Ok Stay
A friend and I booked location due to price and location. Nice area. However, we had to contact property manager several times due to cleaniness and broken items in bathroom, outside light did not work very dark at night. Company did rectify however this tool away from overall enjoyment. I recommendes a new cleaning company to property manager.

Great Stay in Charleston
Stayed with some girlfriends for my birthday. Perfect stay for the weekend, spacious bedrooms and very clean, in walking distance to lots of attractions. Beach is a short drive away. Loved it!

Both bathrooms are on 2nd floor which was fine with us but could be a challenge for some. Beautiful courtyard and quiet area. We did not cook but would have needed more kitchen supplies if we did. All in all it was. Very nice retreat.

I had to contact the management team twice about the shower not draining. It was embarrassing since my guest was using that shower. Should have been handled on the first contact.

House is in a great neighborhood. We have been to Charleston several times but first time in this area. Lots of neat neighborhood spots. Coquin right next door was a fun spot for coffee and wine. King St hot spots a short walk away. House was small, not sure how 4 people would be there together. After a long day walking the city would be nice to relax and watch the game but the couches are horribly uncomfortable. TV is basic cable so you get like 4 channels, not including the shopping channels so bring your own streaming device. For the price you’d expect a bit more in creature comforts.

This was perfect for our stay. Close to walk/drive to everything we needed. The space was good for our toddler kids too. The concierge service bent over backward for us.

My husband and I recently stayed at this property so we could check out all the sights and activities of Charleston. The home is super cute and has every amenity you would need during your stay. The property is located off the street so the noise was very minimal and the parking was ideal!!! The home had the cutest gated backyard that allowed our dogs to have a place to play while we were enjoying our morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The property is a short 3 block walk to King Street so the options for dining/cocktails/coffee/nightlife was pretty much endless. You could find anything that was super casual to high end. We loved all the choices. The property is also a super short drive over the Ravenel Bridge to Mount Pleasant where you will find lots of shopping and waterfront restaurants as well as tourist attractions galore!! Also, close to a handful of great golf courses that were very affordable to play. We would recommend this for a small family and or those traveling with small dogs.

We enjoyed our visit to Charleston. It was great to be able to come back to a clean, comfortable, roomy house after a long day in the city. The beds were very comfortable!

Works for some—not for us
We left a night early because the house was rather dirty and felt as such. As someone mentioned below, pics make it look much nicer than it really is. With that said—great parking, super convenient location, AC was very strong which was necessary in June, and the manager was very kind. There was no hairdryer in the bathroom as mentioned, and if you are staying more than 2 nights with more than 1 person, bring your own everything-including laundry detergent-no “starter” anything. Also, the TV has literally 10 channels so if you want to be at the house and just chill, bring an iPad.

Location and charm
The house was cozy, charming and perfect for our weekend getaway. We enjoyed the neighborhood. And highly recommend Trattoria Lucca which is right around the corner for a fantastic dining experience. The place is just a couple blocks from King Street and makes a great location for exploring Charleston. We would absolutely recommend it.

Wonderful experience
Our party of 4 had a wonderful time at the cottage! We found the living room and bedroom's furniture to be rather comfortable. The jack-n-jill bathroom doors were a little tight but it was nice to be able to enter the bathroom from both bedrooms. We experienced NO noise issues and found it very nice to have the outdoor area off the kitchen and on the front porch. The parking was amazing. We had two cars and were able to park in a hidden parking lot that is right in front of the house. The entrance to the lot is a small driveway right by the bakery and the house is not on Spring St., so it can be easily missed the first time. We were able to walk every place we went and absolutely enjoyed every bar and/or eatery we found for all three meals each day. We could have easily cooked in the kitchen, but chose to experience all of Charleston that we could. It would have been nice to have had screens on our bedroom windows, because all three nights were cool and breezy. We would definitely stay here again!

Good value and very convenient.
Good value and located in very convenient neighborhood. Great to have a kitchen and backyard, washer and dryer and upstairs bedrooms. Only negative were no screens on windows so on beautiful day the bugs came in and and lighting in kitchen could have been brighter.
Would recommend and stay again.

Great location for easy walk to fantastic restaurants. Clean and will be charming with a few minor repairs and possibly more comfortable living room furniture.

Place was clean and nice. Perfect for our family of 5. Could use a bigger and better tv.
The Smalls Alley area of Charleston is a great location for visitors. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

Great location, cozy space!
We loved this little carriage house. It was close to everything and spacious enough for our family of four! The pastry shop at the beginning of the driveway is a delicious bonus!!! Also appreciated the great parking spot!

Clean, great location! Perfect for a long weekend.
We would love to stay there again, BUT, the one drawback is the fact the space resides in a noisy neighborhood. So noisy, that I did not sleep well at all unfortunately. Perhaps it is nearby College of Charleston students in the surrounding area?

Carriage House review
Carriage house was cozy and comfortable. Nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Convenient location with easy access to everything we visited in Charleston.
Had a little trouble accessing the parking area because we came at night and it was difficult to locate the tiny alley access point. Some nearby college party noise the first night but it ended early.
Overall, an affordable and attractive location. Enjoyed it very much.

Very cute, just the right size for a week vacation
We were pleasantly surprised about how clean the little house was. It also had a darling back patio. We never ran out of hot water ( and take very long showers). The parking was so easy and plentiful. We never heard any noise at night except people parking in the parking lot. It seemed lots of other neighborhoods could have been noisier. I had a concern before arriving and emailed the owner who answered back in 8 minutes. Overall we were very pleased.

Perfect
This home was perfect for a long weekend in Charleston. The little yard was perfect for early morning coffee (with delightful smells from the bakery next door) and unwinding in the evening. Very pet friendly.
2.0
This property is tucked behind the rest of Historic Smalls Alley (cluster of homes) off the road. We found out that surrounding this house is mostly college kids. There are 3 colleges in the area. It was fairly quiet considering. The neighborhood looks run down but it's ok once you get a feel for it. The house is small. I would suggest no more than 4 people staying here. And one bathroom is tough with 4 people but we made it work. The house itself is in need of touch up paint, a good deep cleaning, caulking and a bug bombing. There was a spider infestation in the bathroom. They were coming through the gaps in the windows/up from the drains and multiplying. Every day we were killing at least 20 of them! This home is VERY old as well. We noticed mold/mildew inside the air vents in the home. The beds are extremely loud too if you tend to move at night. We never did catch the shuttle and ended up walking into town. All in all, I don't think this house or location is worth the price of this place. Get a hotel instead.
