Nestled in Tacoma, this attractive house for $166 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Make yourself at home in North Tacoma! Enjoy a stay in our private basement suite-and take in the gorgeous water views on our shared deck! The basement suite with bathroom is private, cozy, welcoming and spacious. Our neighborhood is friendly and walkable, near UPS, Proctor, Old Town, Stadium and Ruston Waterfront. Whether you’re visiting for business, traveling to explore a cool town, or visiting family...we have the place! Private basement suite with sleeping arrangements as noted (Queen bed and an additional pull out sofa bed) and a private bathroom. The house was built in 1928 and renovated most recently in 2018. The basement has a private entrance under the carport-when entering guests walk through a clean shop/garage area, through a laundry room and into the basement suite. The staircase up to the main house is locked for privacy. The suite has a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig for your convenience. Internet and TV are available as well as some family games, legos and matchbox cars if you come with littles. Hunker down in the quiet suite/venture out and explore/enjoy Tacoma no matter what the reason for your visit is! The basement apartment was incredibly comfortable. The bed was more comfortable than I could have expected. I loved the comfortable couch and recliner. In a wonderful part of Tacoma with great access to restaurants and the sound. I would highly recommend staying here and will again in the future!!

Great location with the most amazing view of Puget Sound, Plenty of space to relax and work, New carpets, Comfy bed with nice linens, fluffy bath towels, great water pressure in the shower. I was traveling alone for business. This was my first time in the area. Shannon was the nicest host and accommodated my request to extend my stay. I met her boys and a few of her friends. I felt safe and welcome.

Our host was the best! The views from the deck were unbelievable, my wife and I actually live just across the Bay in Browns Point so we are used to seeing and enjoying views of the area. Initially this spot was for my wife and I to stay as we gave up our home for family that traveled over from Ontario. But after we had a gathering on the deck, my father in law couldn't say enough about the views and on this night we could even see Mt Baker in the distance, which is near the Canadian border. So my wife and I went back home leaving the father in law and two kids. The suite was perfect as well, it had games and kid toys for the youngsters. The suite was very comfortable and was furnished well. We'd stay again !

While the basement apartment was cozy and well-appointed, there was one small window and no direct access to the deck pictured. The footsteps above and occasional barking of the family pet detracted from the experience. Disappointing.

My husband and I needed a place to stay while visiting our Puget Sound student. I’m a huge fan of VRBO and decided to see what I could find. I found this place and knew it was perfect! The property was updated and clean, and even had snacks! We were able to sit on the outside deck and enjoy the view during the day and would love to come back at night and use the fire pit. Super easy to find and close to downtown. Would highly recommend for a fun trip!

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at this lovely location. The suite was beautifully updated, spotlessly clean and in a terrific location. (Plus a super comfy bed!) The view from the deck is beautiful and the fire pit makes it enjoyable even when the weather is a bit chilly. Shannon is an excellent host! She communicated quickly and thoroughly when we had questions or requests. She made us feel welcome from our first contact, and at home throughout our stay! Thank you, Shannon and we hope to return soon!

This spot is a must stay if in the Tacoma area! Their property is amazing, the view from the shared deck is wildly beautiful, old Tacoma is stunning to be immersed in, and they made it all very comfortable for us! The communication was timely and accommodating, and I never had any moments of anxiety with this booking! 10/10

This rental had a newly remodeled feel to it. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. The deck was a real highlight with an amazing view of the Sound! Shannon was hospitable and responsive to our questions and needs. (Revision of bed set-up and early check-in among others.)

It was a fun place to stay. It was comfortable and conveniently located. I was surprised to find that the balcony was a shared one, but Shannon is super nice and is happy to share the area.

This was a business trip and my daughter and I had hoped to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view but the weather just didn't cooperate. But it worked out fine for a short stay.
