Located in Hudson Valley, this lovely house for $300 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Scenic year-round, 4 bedroom home situated on Lake Algonquin in Wells, NY nestled on a quiet lake cove. Great for vacationing with multiple families. Conveniences close by without sacrificing peaceful relaxation. You and your guests will enjoy our wrap around deck, screened in porch, and cozy sunroom with incredible views of the lake and mountains. Outside, you can enjoy our boat dock or pull up an Adirondack chair to the outdoor firepit and roast some marshmallows while listening to the peaceful ambience of the Adirondacks. Newly renovated upper deck off the lakefront bedroom. Enjoy your coffee in the morning or your wine in the evening on the upper deck off the master bedroom. This home is an ideal setting for family reunions with a large living room, newly renovated kitchen/dining room that's great for meals and family game night. Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed, bedroom 2 has a full size bed and bedroom 3 has a full size bed along with a bunkbed, bedroom 4 has two bunkbeds, the bottom bunks are full size beds and the top are twin. WE DO NOT PROVIDE LINENS AND TOWELS YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN. The town of Wells is a sleepy locale straight out of a Hallmark movie. Children's playground, tennis courts, and a pavilion with picnic tables are just across the street. Public boat launch nearby. Sandy town beach a 10 minute walk down the road. 3 min or 10 minute walk to two General Stores for last minute needs (including take out pizza, movie rentals, beer, soda, & gifts) and an ice cream stand to keep the kids happy. Nothing compares to autumn in the Adirondacks. Beautiful colors from the surrounding mountains reflect perfectly off the glass-like lake. Canoe and Kayak lovers will marvel at the wildlife in the connecting river as their paddles cut gracefully through tranquil waters. Ambitious bikers ride the bike route to other scenic lakes in the Adirondacks. Just a half hour away in North Creek, you can even find the recently-viral rail bikes! In the winter enjoy the many outdoor activitues in the area. After a day of skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, ice skating or a simple walk, come into the warmth of our indoor wood stove. The boot room keeps all of your winter belongings out of the way yet dry and ready for your next winter adventure. Such a wonderful place right on the lake. Literally! We enjoyed hanging out Lakeside having a fire in the fire pit and enjoying hearty meals inside the spacious house. Everything was wonderful! Plenty of space for a large family. We had six ladies having a girls time away! It’s definitely an area to explore nature as there’s not much around in terms of shopping or restaurants or anything like that. The Riverwalk was enjoyable, up on Rt 30 and we caught some waterfalls on Route 8 and also on Rt 30!. I highly recommend it for the nature lover, the fisher person, and just to hang out and have fun with some of your peeps !

We had a lovely stay at this sweet spot in the ADK. The property is even better than the pics. It was clean, cozy, well stocked with all we needed for cooking, and we really appreciated it having all we needed to build a campfire too. Communication was very clear with notes around for reminders. It was just what this group of friends was hoping for! Thank you!

The house is immaculate. Had everything we needed for cooking. Beautiful views of the lake. Only wish was that there could have been easier access for kayaks and a ladder on dock for swimming.

Our stay was amazing, we were able to unwind and enjoy the the lake. As soon as we arrived my son who is 13 ran to the lake with his fishing pole and our 3 teenage girls jumped right in. Over our stay everyone fished, kayaked/canoed and swam. Fishing the lake gave us a variety of fish. At night we enjoyed marshmallows by the fire, played board games and a puzzle. The house was perfect for us, plenty of room. It was clean and well taken care of. The internet was not working when we first arrived but the Diane promptly responded to us regarding this. We came to disconnect. We give this place a 10/10. We hope to be back next year!

The house is lovely and has room for a large group. We are four adults and appreciated having room to spread out. The kitchen has all of the amenities we needed and then some. We enjoyed family meals at the beautifully crafted dining table, canoeing on Lake Algonquin, a small bonfire near the lake, and the views from the decks.

House offered anything you needed, just bring provisions.
Upstairs bedrooms get a bit toasty, bring fans.

This home on the lake is just that, a home. The interior is decorated beautifully with amazing woodwork throughout giving it a cozy cottage feel. The view of the lake is breathtaking. I wish the weather was warmer so we could enjoy the water. We stayed here for a family wedding and this place was voted the best after everyone visited all of the other rental places. You can’t go wrong staying here.

Perfect location for our family weekend! Plenty of space for 11 adults, right on the water so canoeing, kayaking, fishing and evening chats around the campfire were all on the agenda. This home had everything we needed…. Even a pull out chair that made my brother-in-law who had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago super comfortable. There isn’t anything we could suggest to improve our stay. We are looking forward to hopefully staying here again!

Fami!y Vacation
My family enjoyed our stay a lot. The house was very nice and the view of the lake was wonderful. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking and hiking. There isn't a sandy beach but it was easy getting into the lake from the dock. My daughter did have some trouble getting the kayak into the water around the poles on the dock. The neighbor has a few dogs that do bark sometimes very early. These are small things and didn't effect our wonderful trip.

Just like home
This is the perfect property if you are looking to unwind and get away. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s very comfortable and much larger than it looks from the outside. The pond is so close that when you’re inside it feels as though you are floating. The sun room was my favorite. I read books and napped in that room. We can’t wait for next year.

Beautiful stay
The home was fantastic. They have renovated it with great attention to detail and sturdy craftsmanship. We had a group of 10 people ages 5-48 and it was perfect. There was enough space for us to both gather together and find solitude. The kitchen had everything we needed to make everything we planned to cook. Very comfortable and we had a very relaxing trip filled with fishing, kayaking, canoeing, campfires, s'mores, swimming, hiking, games and margaritas.

Great place
Had a fishing trip with a group of 10 friends and family. The cabin was great, very clean and big enough for everyone. Fishing was good on the lake and the surrounding river. Had a small miscue with the owner but we worked it out fairly. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Family vacation
The place is all pretty new, great set up, plenty of sleeping space. Beautiful view, nice enclosed porch with a bar and a bed that pulls down off of wall. 2 full baths is nice when you have 11 people. We had a little misunderstanding with the listing and I called them, they responded right away and even though it was our fault, they helped us out. Which was much appreciated. Great place with a great set up. I would highly recommend them.

Wonderful lake house in a beautiful setting
My family (two adults and two 8-year olds) had a fantastic time at this beautiful property. It was very clean, had a great set-up with many places to congregate (even with bigger group than 4) and amazing views of the lake. While we had great weather it’s a place where staying inside is just as pleasant.
Kitchen, TV, fire wood, kayaks, all was in great working order and well explained by the host in her instructions.
Definitely a place we’ll come back to!

My brother, SIL, 6 nieces & nephews (ages 15, 13, 10, 8, 6, 1), husband, daughter (2 yrs) and myself stayed at this house for a week and it was wonderful. It is right by a lake and we thoroughly enjoyed the canoe, kayak, dock and fire pit. The views were beautiful and there were many hikes and other activities within a 15-45 minute drive. The Canteles were great to work with and have put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this property. It’s great for big families. (FYI-We counted and I think you could fit 19 people in beds in the house if you really wanted to. Might be challenging with only two bathrooms, but suffice to say you could sleep a LOT of people here. (Not sure what the guest limit is)). The butterfly room is very nice but the bed must be some sort of an antique and is VERY small for a double. Two adults could not sleep comfortably in it. The house is clean, cool and lovely. There is no A/C but you won’t need it. The mountain weather is cool and they have ceiling fans. All this to say we had a lovely week and the house was perfect.

We booked this location for the view (which did not disappoint!) but we were hoping to be able to read a book, drink a coffee and fish off the dock. This home is beautiful! The view of the mountains can be seen from all of the rooms downstairs. The kitchen & sunroom were our favorite spots to hang out. The owner was very quick to respond & very kind. Would highly recommend! We will be back!!

Quiet lake house
The house is old and has been added on to, but overall in good condition. It could use a regular toaster instead of the combo oven, etc. It could also use some window coverings on the west-facing windows as we were awake when the sun came up each morning. Two sets of door keys would have been good since the 4 of us were not together all the time. All-in-all a great place to stay and a good location. We had a group of ducks greet us each morning.
