What a stunning guest house in an equally stunning place! The walled city is incredible as it is but to sleeping here, in a 600 year old building was magical. The room was spotless with a very comfy bed and excellent facilities. The owner is so welcoming and handed us fresh lemonade upon arrival. We slept perfectly with the sound of the waves outside our bedroom window.

The building was a beautiful converted 500 year old monastery, in a fabulous location at the far end of the island, with the quirks that you get with an old building - but that did not excuse the shower...
The rain shower was completely clogged up and did not work, the hand shower could only be fixed at waist height so it was impossible to have a decent shower without getting water everywhere. The plug in the bath did not hold water properly either. I raised this to the owner/manager but was told that I should expect this from a 500 year old building with salty water. There was plenty of hot water and they just need to fix the attachments - i think this was a case of the owner/manager not having actually used the shower or bath in our room. Disappointing....
