Despite some negative reviews that initially made us hesitant, we found this accommodation to be a great last-minute option near Gothenburg, especially given the price. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious room, which offered ample space for our luggage. The shower water pressure was excellent, a definite plus! We also enjoyed the simple and delicious buffet breakfast provided.
Frankly, if you're looking for good value and a convenient location, don't let other negative reviews deter you. This place delivers on its promises for the price. If you're expecting luxury, you'll need to pay more elsewhere.
The most noticeable downside was the lingering smell of what seemd to be stale smoke in the hallway carpets. It's quite clear the accommodation hasn't been significantly updated since it was built, and all the scents have certainly settled into the older carpeting. While this was the main point of contention, and likely what other negative reviews referenced, it's worth noting that it was a very brief experience, only lasting the 30 seconds it took to walk to our room. Once inside our room, the smell was not an issue.

Yes, this motel is extremely worn down, but mind it was built in 1968, But I don't agree with some bad comments here. Our room was clean, it was not stinking, it had no mold in the showers, Everything worked. Refridgerator and water kettle in the room. Spacious rooms with two chars and a small table and closet. Pretty comfortable bed. The hotel is very close the E6 motorway, but yet it was dead quiet in our room. The fact that we got room 208 on the inside might have helped. Friendly staff. The breakfast was OK as any continental breakfast can be. And most of all FREE PARKING!
The breakfast opened a tad late 0800, I dont know if it was for it was a weekend. The hotel reception also closes a bit early, 1700 so mind the email they send out to collect your key at the lockers. I do agree about the smoke and foul smell in the corridors. Yes, you can sense that there is some smoking going on somewhere in the hotel. And yes, the corridor mats should have been cleaned years ago. So if the managment rent a real mat cleaner and go over them, it would change the image of this hotel a lot. We did not mind, because the room was clean and no smell at all. So you just have to endure and experience that history of this motel in the mats and walls of the corridors :-)
