This is one of the many boutique style hotels lining Argyle Square and sourrounding streets. Good pressure and temperature control in shower. The room I had was a kind of annexe or outhouse building, which was fine. The three staff members I interacted with were very pleasant, and friendly. The WiFi connection was good. The proximity to Kings Cross St Pancras stations and underground is excellent.
The room had a bit of a damp smell. I went three times round Argyle Square looking for a "Melville" sign and finally realised there isn't one - it's Roksy. I think there has been a fairly recent change of ownership are the names Exelsior, Melville and Roksy all seem to be associated with this hotel. There were some sheets of plasterboard and plywood propped in the acess corridor, so I guess some upgrading work is imminent. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there are plenty of places nearby.

Great stay overall and I would happily stay here again.
The staff were excellent – very friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help.
The location was ideal, making it easy to get around and explore the area.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel offered good value for money.
A few of the lights in the room weren't working, which was a little inconvenient.
The curtains were looking a bit tatty and could do with replacing.
The pillows weren't very comfortable.
A dressing table with a mirror would have been a useful addition to the room.

Location is very close to Kings Cross and St. Pancras rail stations - the main positive is proximity.
Rooms were old fashioned and fittings and furniture old and worn.
