Everything! I loved the traditional style of the building with the indoor courtyard, and historic significance of Albaicin. Ingo gave me wonderful tips where to eat and what to do, he was so helpful! Loved that my room faced the park and it was extremely quiet at night. The park has a beautiful view to the Alhambra. There are 2 busses that stop right by the monastery next door, and take you to plaza Nueva and to the Alhambra and back if you don’t like the steep walk up.

For my money, this is the place to stay at in Granada. Room one of the best I've had, in terms of charm and character (tiled floor, wooden beams, fantastic dark wooden shutters; Alhambra view in corner in one window; who doesn't love a bidet?), it couldn't have felt more homely and Iberian (I guess? hallo cliché). Hotel situated in Albaicin which is the most interesting area of Granada (obs apart from Alhambra itself); 2 min walk to Mirador de San Nicolas and 10 min to town centre; bus stop right in front of my nose as I leave the hotel.
small niggle - breakfast wasn't something to Instagram. OK, the traditional Spanish breakfast seems to be a somewhat modest affairs (says my guide book), so one could say this was authentic. The lovely owner (or owner's mother) did offer to make us eggs each morning (which we kindly refused; other guests seemed to enjoy egg-based dishes)
