Valuable and Good Location

1. Good location, that has convenience store right below the hotel. There is a tram station and a few bus stops (slightly away from the hotel) that goes to Hakodate Station. Walkable distance to Goryokaku Koen. 2. Good spread of breakfast buffet 3. Room size was slightly bigger than the average room size in Tokyo.

Even though there is a tram that goes to Hakodate station, it may not be the most accessible as it is only available until 7 PM, and be aware of their public holiday as it may not be available as well.

Do not book a smoking room!

Very close to Goryokaku koen and the tram stop.

The only rooms available when booking were smoking rooms so I was expecting it to smell however the old smoke smell was very overpowering and the windows do not open so you cannot air the room. In fact, the whole hotel smelled of smoke the moment you walk into the lobby off the street. The decor in the room was yellowed from years of smoke and wasn't the kind of place you want to relax after a day of travelling. The aircon is controlled by the hotel centrally so you have to suffer overheating. Some other guests were propping their doors open with their suitcases to try and get some cool air.

Very good

The hotel rooms assigned to us have a good view of Goryokaku Tower. We requested for the rooms on the high floor and quite enjoyed the view. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a good spread of buffet breakfast

Limited TV programs, all in Japanese language which we foreigners do not understand. Hope to have more English programs and movies.

We had a lovely stay, and would definitely come back if we stay in Hakodate again.

Very central, clean and quiet. Staff was very nice and helpful. Close to Goryokaku park and not too far from the airport of Akarenga by taxi.

Economical choice.

It is a bit like the standard business hotel. Cant expect too much. But the room is unexpectedly big, we booked a 3 single bed room. There are four in total. Nice view with the view of the famous tower.

Looks a little bit old. But as we stay only one night, we stay for sleeping only. So it’s ok!

Good value for price especially if you have car. If public transport, there’s no way back after 7

Cheap, decent size bathtub, convenient tram that goes to Hakodate station

Poor location, trams stop running by 7 so there’s no way to get back to the hotel from anywhere else. We had to take a taxi from Goryokaku station to the hotel since we arrived at 10pm.

Superb

Triple rooms are spacious and top level has fantastic unrestricted views of the city, tower, mountain. Really don't think you get much better views. Rooms are clean and have all the facilities.

Nice room and bath

The bed was big and soft, the bathtub also big and comfortable.

The fridges are a bit loud, especially at night. Also there's no place to properly store your clothes, only the bag itself.

+Check in was really fast. +Very comfortable room with an awesome view! +An orthopedic pillows are the best. +The equipment is good and modern. +The lobby staff was polite and kind. We came soaked in the rain and receptionist gave us some newspapers to dry shoes. +The kitchen staff was also nice. +Breakfast is really varied and delicious.

The location was great it was nearby the attraction area and the onsen resort we booked in to cap off our trip

I think rate was high, considering there are no complimentary breakfast on the rate

The hotel provides good value, with its location near the Goryokaku Fort, restaurants and the Hakodate tram line. The buffet breakfast is fairly typical of the breakfast at this type hotel in Japan, and was satisfactory to begin the day. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location to the star fort and tram was very convenient as well as having the family mart on the first floor.

fifth year anniversary best place to go to

We went for our 5th year anniversary celebration and stayed for 5 night great price nice area and getting transportation was very easy.
