Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. The hotel is in an excellent location for Lincoln Cathedral and Castle but is steep walk down into the main city centre (and a steep walk back up!).
The hotel decor is a little tired, particularly the stairwells/corridors. The wifi didn't work in my room, but was available in the communal areas. It was a little noisy outside at night, but it was a weekend and it was quiet by 11pm, and it reflects the vibrant city that Lincoln is.

Great location for exploring the uphill part of Lincoln. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and feel a bit different from regular hotels. There is nothing corporate about this place. Breakfast was delicious.

Really friendly staff despite arriving on a busy Saturday night. Nice location - right outside the castle and great feel to it
Slightly dated bathroom e.g no grout left around the bath with big gaps, which made it feel a bit little run down in the room.

Extremely well situated near to a variety of points of interest. The breakfast was good, fresh and tasty with a variety of hot dishes. Other food eaten in the hotel restaurant was also very good.
The staff were lovely.
The hotel was quite tatty upstairs with stained carpet and paint that needed refreshing.
The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the toilet was not clean and the skirting boarder was dusty in the bathroom. When I mentioned the toilet issue, the staff member was very apologetic and sent someone to clean it.
Unfortunately, neither of us slept as there was a droning noise from what I was told was a kitchen fan which hadn’t been switched off. It was quite warm in the room, but opening the window wasn’t an option due to the noise from the fan which was clearly audible even with ear plugs in.
