We booked a double and a single room: good value, spacious rooms with modern spotless bathrooms. Comfy bed.
Excellent full english breakfast, freshly cooked to order, and carried to the table by a cute talking robot carrier (served to our table by a human)!
Problem with no hot water - we had to wash in cold water as we had no hot water late in the evening nor when we got up at 6:30am in either the sink or shower. We couldn't find any staff to discuss it with (tried kitchen and bell, along with other customers as the whole hotel was the same); it wasn't sorted until about 7:15am but we had booked our breakfast for 7:30 and had an early start for our son's morning graduation ceremony, so it was too late by then. While we appreciate we were unlucky that day and this is not their normal service at this B&B (we did get a brief apology at breakfast when we queried it), it was nonetheless a major inconvenience. We were in a hurry when we left, but called by phone the next day and were told they were unable to give a partial refund as we had booked via Booking.Com. Communications via Booking.com just referred us back to the hotel so we have still not had any compensation over 2 weeks later.
Minor issue with very creaky floor boards in our room. Decor was a bit 'busy' with different bold patterns on quilt cover, wallpaper and curtain, but all clean.
