About this house rental
Nestled in Folly Beach, this charming house for $229 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. New floors, freshly upgraded and painted. Kitchen, bath, king and queen beds, outdoor seating will make your trip a pleasant experience for all. The downstairs includes kitchen, dining, and living room with fold out queen couch. The upstairs is a king bedroom with a hall bath and another room with queen bed. There is a private entry. The outdoor area includes a patio with table, chairs, umbrella and gas grill - it is not shared with other apartments. This is a townhouse unit in a building that has three apartments. Please note that this is an remodeled older house and the stairway to upstairs is narrow. Also supplied is a shared outdoor shower area to rinse sand and salt after beach day! It is located at the 7th street beach walkover for quick and easy beach access, less than a football field walk. Only a six block walk into town for dining and great entertainment, shops, rentals and pier. WE ARE PET FRIENDLY! PLEASE SELECT THE "PET" BUTTON. Maximum 2 dogs and we do not accept cats, birds or other animals. The pet fee is $95.00 plus tax and covers both dogs. Please let us know the breed and weight of your dog upon booking. Guest should prevent pets from producing excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors. Pet will not be left unattended for an undue length of time, either indoors or outside which includes balcony, patio, or porch as applicable. **NOTE: This property is in a residential community and Folly Beach has a strict noise ordinance violation rule. Simply respect your neighbors, keep the noise down, which includes dogs if applicable. This rental is not licensed for "EVENTS." House parties, bachelor(ette), weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited. Gatherings should not exceed the maximum occupancy of this rental. Overnight guests strictly limited to maximum occupancy of this rental. The maximum overnight capacity is strictly limited to 6 guests.

I messaged and texted the owner with a request to check out later than 9 with no response. My fault for not noticing when I booked the checkout is 9am. It was no big deal but a response from the owner would be nice. I will definitely stay there again though!

From the time we found and reserved with Alicia it felt like working with an old friend.
My son and family live on Folly and we visit 3 to 4 times a year.
Finally after 2+ years of renting different places we have found the friend we will be staying with going forward.
It was quiet, just as described and a 5 minute walk to the beach, just across 1 street. You could see the beach from the house.
Alicia has 3 properties in this house and we can't wait to stay in #1. Fenced in yard for our little Winston and so private.
Just far away enough away from Center Street to miss the hustle and bustle and close enough for convenience at the same time.
Can't wait to go back.

This two bedroom townhouse was perfect for a few days at the beach with my daughter and grandchildren. I especially love that it was just steps to the beach access on 7th street. My arthritic knees handled the walk and few stairs without a problem. I would definitely stay again.

This apartment had great beach access. We could all come and go from the beach as we pleased. There was no need to coordinate trips. We also went out four of five times a day and stayed a shorter time and got less sunburned. If you forgot something, you could easily run back and get it. Kitchen was well stocked with a pot big enough to make a low country boil for five people!

Beautiful place with great location. Just steps to the beach’s you will need to be ok with stairs in the house and on the deck way to the beach entry. The grandkids loved the beach! I loved the outdoor shower at the house.

The set up was perfect for our family of 5 and we really enjoyed how close it was to the beach. We liked that the beach access area was not as busy as some of the other areas. The house was clean and had all we needed. Everyone thought the beds was comfortable. The owners and property manager were very friendly. We would recommend and come back!

This property is a hidden jewel. Just across the street from the beach. The property is located in a nice and quiet location.6 blocks away from the Folly Pier and downtown. So the beach area is not very crowded which is nice because you don't have to get up really early and claim your spot for the day. They also provide a beach towel for everyone staying in the house and they have beach chairs for you to use as well. Which I loved because the less I have to pack the better. Property was very clean !!! We loved how super easy it was to check in and out.. I have rented from VRBO every time we travel and this place is in my top 5 to stay from now on. If you are looking to get away and have a little peace of paradise then this is just the place for you !!

I’d recommend this spot for any small groups planning a beach getaway! We were so impressed with the unit and location! Its steps away from the beach and a small drive to the shops/restaurants! We had plenty of privacy from the other units and all the appliances worked great. It was such a great experience and we will probably be back!

Wonderful property. Great communication with owner. Location is 1/2 block from public access which is a blessing because parking is tough around town. You get a parking spot right in front of the townhome. We did drive to downtown for dinner and shopping due to rain. Did find parking with some driving around. Taco Boy and Lost Dog Cafe are delicious. 1/2 hour to Charleston. Great experience! Thank you Alicia!

Three of us came for my friend's wedding and this was a great spot for us to set up and get ready. Everything was clean and ready to go. The bedrooms were nice and bight with a couple mirrors.
The Island gets pretty busy on the weekend, so it was great to have a spot to take our cart back to while still being walking distance to food and shops. Plus, beach access is only a couple steps away.
We had to leave after a few days to meet some folks, but it would have been a great spot to stay longer!

I was hoping to leave a better review.
This property is super dated, and I didn’t realize this was a split house turned into many units. I thought we had the house in the picture. I was unaware the laundry system wasn’t in the unit we stayed in.
We had a vine literally growing in the queen bedroom upstairs. There is water damage on the living room wall. Blinds need to be replaced in almost every room. Limited privacy to change in the king bedroom with all the missing blinds. The mattresses on both beds were HARD and uncomfortable.
The staircase pictured in the description is so steep and narrow that I was almost scared to come down them. There were only 2 trash bags in the kitchen and bathroom which filled up quickly. There was no extra toilet paper.
The beach chairs outside and extra beach towels helped tremendously. The kitchen was very nice. The patio with the table and umbrella were awesome to sit out under. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, I wouldn’t stay at this location again.

My husband and I had a long weekend stay in Folly for our anniversary. It was such a lovely weekend, mostly because of Alicia and our time in her townhouse! She is very responsive, although everything was so nice and orderly that we didn’t need much else from her during our stay! Great location to the beach, and parking could not be more convenient. Just under a miles walk to the main drag for dining and shopping. We walked it a few times and it wasn’t bad at all. Beautiful area, would love to go back soon!

We love, love, love this condo. We have come 2 years in a row. The location is amazing-so close to the beach. The condo itself is really well kept and the bedrooms upstairs feel so light and bright. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come back.

Fast walk to the beach, and about 20 minute walk into town. Property is beautiful, but there is a steep narrow staircase that might hinder some folks. I would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. Check the prices around town, if you are unsatisfied with this place then your expectations are clearly out of line. It is an older property with a beach cottage vibe, but some recent cosmetic updates have clearly given the place a nice reboot. It was clean, well appointed, and perfectly located. Property manager was helpful but low-key. Family of 3 and we had no complaints at all. As far a special tips go…Watch your head walking down the stairs, if you are taller than 5’10” you might consider ducking, other than that…all good. Rooms are all painted white, which gives it a nice open, airy vibe. Freezer has automatic ice cube maker. Easy thing to overlook, but just a small item I noticed and appreciated.

Alicia called us a few weeks ago to let us know that we were upgraded to a different property due to repairs being done on the property we were scheduled to rent. We got upgraded to the beach front Majestic Sand Castle and have only positive things to report. The MSC is stunningly beautiful and immaculately clean. The previous reviews we read stated that the property needed some repairs. The weatherization on the beach front properties does require constant upkeep and Alicia and her team do a great job. A rental property that allows dogs and large families is bound to have constant repair needs and there is nothing you can't look past as a renter. Cracked mini-blind? Put them up and the problem is solved and you get an absolutely fantastic view of the ocean.
The kitchen is well appointed. The only things you need to bring are personal consumption items like coffee, tea, sugar and food. If you feel like baking there is a Kitchen Aide mix master, need to feed a large group? There are plenty of pots and pans to get the job done.
The bedrooms are large, clean and comfortable. The master bedroom on the second floor has a small deck. The larger beach front deck is accessed from the living room. The house has an elevator which allowed us to move everything in easily and in one trip. The house could be considered handicap accessible with this feature alone, but you may have to collapse a larger chair and there is a 400 pound maximum load lift.
If you are thinking of visiting beautiful Folly Beach and have a large group, this is the place to stay. It is far enough away from the bustling commercial zone to relax in peace and quiet, but it is only a short trip to the strip and can be done on bike or you can rent a golf cart.
On our second to last day the washer stopped working. I texted Carole and was impressed with the speed of her reply. That same afternoon the repair technician replaced the pump and we were back in business.
Overall, this property is fantastic for large groups. It is clean, spacious and well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our upgraded stay and will be back to Folly Beach again. Thank you Alicia for providing us an awesome beach house! And thank you Carole for recommending the Lost Dog for lunch.

Great Location. Right at the access to the beach. Home included everything you needed to feel comfortable & relaxed. From the outdoor area for grilling and listening to the ocean to kitchen amenities to plenty of space for us. Felt like a local right away. Great laid back environment. And dog friendly was a great plus. Looking forward to our next visit.

This was a wonderful townhouse close to the beach. We also sat outside a lot enjoying the sun. I was able to run to the beach to catch the sun rising and sun setting. My dog enjoyed the beach as well. The host was very friendly and helpful when I needed her. It was very clean!

The location great less than a block from beach access. The living space is dated and did not have much to it other than a place to sit and beds to sleep. Also had some ants. But if you want a place to lay your head at night and the rest of the time at the beach this would be a okay place for you..
