Sehr gut gefallen hat uns die Lage direkt am Sandstrand. So konnten wir direkt baden und die Sonnenliegen am Strand benutzen. Schön ist auch der Ausblick vom Balkon für alle Gäste auf welchem 2 Tische stehen. Das Personal ist wahnsinnig freundlich und aufmerksam, man kann hier jederzeit preiswert gutes Essen, Kaffee, Tee oder Softdrinks und natürlich auch ein reichhaltiges Frühstück mit Toast und Früchten bestellen - je nach persönlicher Vorliebe mit oder ohne Zucker, scharf oder Zero Chili. Rechts am Strand beginnen die Felsen wo man sehr gut schnorcheln und viele Fische, einige Korallen als auch Meeresschildkröten entdecken kann. 100 Meter nach links ist auch ein Tauchanbieter.
Ich empfehle für 6 Zimmer mindestens 2 zusätzliche Liegen und deutlich mehr als nur 2 Plastikstühle am Strand. Die Holzstühle sind zu unbequem. Nicht gefallen hat uns der Einsatz von WC-Steinen in Waschbecken und Dusche, das riecht zu stark, wir haben die entfernt. Mit kleinen Investitionen und mehr Wartung, Reparatur und Liebe zum Detail könnte man dieses Hostel in so perfekter Lage viel schöner machen. Aktuell wirkt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unausgeglichen. Neue Handtücher wären auch eine sinnvolle Investition.

We planned two nights and stayed four, which says it all. The guesthouse sits steps from a beautifully quiet stretch of beach, and falling asleep and waking up next to the sea never got old. The host was warm and helpful from the very start, answering our questions on WhatsApp before we had even arrived off the ferry from India, and nothing was ever too much trouble during the stay. The home-cooked rice and curry and fresh fish dinners were a real highlight, some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Rooms are simple but comfortable and good value. A lovely, personal place in an unbeatable location.

Helemaal prima om lekker het stadje te verkennen en een duik in de zee te nemen. Lunch (rijst, noodles, kottu) super lekker en goede prijs. Personeel super behulpzaam. Bij betalen blijkbaar rs.1000 te veel betaald en na 5 minuten onderweg naar onze volgende locatie werden we ingehaald door de eigenaar in zijn tuk tuk met het geld. Super fijn en eerlijk.
Het gebouw zelf kan wel wat opknapwerkzaamheden gebruiken voor een nettere uitstraling.
