Nice, big and stylish room. Very clean inside the room. Lovely balcony, nice bath, very quiet, the girl who checked us in was very friendly. It has the potential to be a good hotel, but it needs to be managed better.
Air conditioning needs cleaning and room was always too hot. Asked for a fan, but they said no. Breakfast was a bit crap and so many flies. Needs a good clean. Staff at breakfast were miserable.

The staff were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. The lady (believe she was the manager) who helped us move due to leaking air con was amazing, she upgraded us due to this! She was so welcoming and really made our stay!
The hotel is clean and has a lovely restaurant, the monkeys are entertaining to watch
Nothing everything was great

Stay away from this Hotel. I was robbed of $500 dollars from the hotel room safe box.
When I tried to open the safe box it said error that means my code was incorrect but I’m sure my code was correct because I always use the same code and I tried until it locked out. I informed the hotel staff and they came to my room and opened it with a master code. When it was opened I counted the money and I had $500 dollars less. I went to talk with the staff and the manager and they didn’t do anything and said I needed to go to the Police station in Ao Nang. I couldn’t go because it was the last night of my trip and I had a dinner reservation at 5:30pm and needed to leave the next day. So be careful and another very important thing don’t eat the food from this hotel. My girlfriend and I were sick for 2 days with food poisoning. We were vomiting a lot with severe diarrhea. I never felt this in my life. We were in the bed for the first day and couldn’t do anything.
This hotel ruined my trip. Thank God it was the last stop.

Lo que más me gusto fue el tamaño de la habitación y el desayuno

The property was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. Loved the pool set up - the design made it feel very private. The greenery and lights throughout the property were beautiful. Also enjoyed the water station down the hall from our room as well as the included thermoses to refill.
The monkeys coming into the pool area interrupted our lounge time, but not sure how much the resort can do to prevent that. Just a part of life on Railay Beach!

Everything and the manager is amazing. We loved the terrain, the location and the rooms so much!
It is easy to walk and near shops and restaurants, Also our favorite beach (Ao Phra Nang Beach) is near!

The bedroom was fantastic, with a huge bed and excellent shower
The monkeys were particularly evident as I nearly had clothes stolen by them from the balcony, the first notice we were given of the monkeys was after we had checked in and it was a passing comment

Great location, clean room and wildlife to observe
The monkeys are out of control haha, they jumped on our balcony and threw our clothes into the pool 😂

The room was very spacious. There are water refill station on every floor. The pool is easily accessible. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of options. Good location too.
The check in time is a bit late compared to other hotels.

I had a room with pool access which was great. The pool was amazing, the bed was huge and comfortable. It was conveniently located. The breakfast was pretty good. All in all it was near perfect.
The only issue in my room was that the ceiling near the AC was kind of mouldy/blistering and it didn't really look too good.

Really nice hotel rooms and great staff! We liked the restaurant at the hotel and they have live music every night which is really great. Location is walking distance from west Railay beach where we spent most of our time.
The monkeys coming onto our balcony was a bit distressing and they can open the doors to the rooms. Monkeys are all over Railay beach though so I don’t think this was specific to the hotel.

Big room, quiet and calm, great staff.
The mosquitoes were annoyingly very present during our stay and our air-cond was leaking water during our stay.
10.0
The beds are very comfortable and everything is very well thought out - beach towels in every room, tumblers for cold water, it’s the small details that make this place so good!!
The breakfast runs out and there are very limited options after 9:30am even though it’s until 10:30am

The room was very big and the bed was really comfy
The patio was amazing
Nice and clean pool
Very good location as it was just 5-6' walking to all restaurants and bars in Railay west side and also to the beach
Very kind and helpful staff
Poor breakfast, limited choices in European food
We found cockroaches twice in the room

Water cooler available to guests, comfortable beds - great all round!

I loved the leisurely atmosphere at the property. Helpful staff

location, free water dispenser, and the live music at the hotel restaurant
multiple wild monkeys broke into my room, TWICE. At first I thought I left the balcony door unlocked, but I realized this was not the case the SECOND time they broke in. They chewed up my passport and ransacked all my belongings looking for food. They ripped through some of my clothes/souvenirs/MONEY, and took my thyroid medication which I NEED to live (please SEE PICTURES).
These monkeys know how to thug open the LOCKED sliding doors! (I know this because I opened the LOCKED sliding balcony door myself by tugging on it and only after this I noticed the smeared monkey hands on the sliding door below me). The worst part was that when I told the staff about it they looked at me like I was just a stupid tourist that doesn't know how to lock doors. TERRIBLE customer service to say the least. They didn't bother to ask me exactly what the issue was and simply switched us rooms. It sure as hell won't be funny when you come back to your room and you discover the monkeys have taken/ruined your camera/cash/passport.
It is also worth mentioning the wild monkeys use the hotel pool as their own, have sex in it/ejaculate in it, pee in it, etc.
DO NOT STAY HERE, IT IS NOT SAFE !
last detail, the rooms are very dark and lights in the room do not fix this
I was in Thailand 3 wks and this was the most expensive and the WORST stay of them all.

Friendly staff, nice room and excellent location (far away from the crowds in Railay West). Food at the restaurant is also very good and tasty!
A bit of sewer smell around the resort.
8.0
Very convenient to the highlights of a Railay stay.
The staff is overwhelmed by the short term nature of most stays. They need a few more people to help the existing staff with room turnover.

Great location, loved being at a location only accessible by boat, no cars or traffic once there. What fun seeing the monkeys all over the place, including a daily time when they seemed to come through the resort, climb on balconies and play around the pool then move on. The room was incredible and spacious, very clean and modern. Stayed in a suite with private pool. Easy access to walk to both East and West beach and the main shopping row with all the restaurants and such. It was cool to experience travel to the resort via long tail boat. For our departure, we took the afternoon ferry to Phuket, tickets included transfer by van to our next destination near Karon beach (buy tickets at one of the little stands on the shopping row).
GETTING IN AND OUT: Getting from the dock to the resort is only a short walk (few hundred yards down a sidewalk in front of a couple other resorts) but miserable in the heat, requiring dragging luggage through sand and 50 yards of path/sidewalk that was buried in sand and rock since no one maintains it. Then there are a number of steps when reaching the resort. We arrived hot, sweaty, tired and miserable. At least they offered help getting bags up more steps to our room, but not sure if that's normal. Having some ramps at least in some places where there is room would help. Saw lots of others struggling with luggage moving in and out too. Having extra staff to assist would be appreciated, even for an extra fee. As far as the path from the resort to the dock (maybe a couple hundred yards), I understand it's not resort property, but to make it easy on guests, how hard would it be to occasionally shovel and clear it off, knowing all your guests are struggling to get through it with luggage? We arranged ahead of time on check out to have some help getting our luggage to the dock, so they had the grounds keeper bring a cart and wheel our luggage down for us. SO much nicer. I'm sure many guests would pay for this extra assistance.
PUBLIC AREAS: Many of the other public areas between the resorts, like the paths to walk between Railay East and West beach, don't seem to have anyone in charge, so they are not maintained and have trash everywhere. A few places are very dark at night too, with lighting broken or missing. With only a dozen or so resorts here, it seems that they would all want to get together and have these areas well maintained for the benefit of all. It really distracted from feeling like you were in a really nice place, even if the resort itself was nice.
BREAKFAST: Breakfast was just okay. The food is not kept warm so everything is just sort of room temperature. Many items run out or take time to refill.

The hotel part needed repainting and the place regular cleaning. Felt unloved.

Overall arrangement and style of Avatar is mind-blowing. The villa with its terrace is one of a kind. Movie night was a nice surprise!

Large and comfortable room. Location is very convenient with walking distance to everything. It’s on the quiet side so we slept very well. Sometimes we can see monkeys playing around which is super cute.
Breakfast is a bit boring but it’s acceptable.
7.0
Room was pleasant; bed and shower were fine. Difficult access to the balcony because of large floor lamp placement.
Location was very convenient. Grounds were mostly well-kept.
Beach towels and tote were especially appreciated.
Did not eat breakfast at restaurant.
Balcony looked directly toward all the other rooms/guests.
Internet was not consistent.
Pool did not look inviting at all: trash was not cleaned out and the monkeys used as their private swimming hole.
